My instructions were provided by a physical therapist. **Q: Can you heat or freeze them?** A: I pretty sure you can't heat them up. Doing so would probably damage the balls. You could probably freeze them put I'm sure they wouldn't stay frozen very long. Personally, I place the balls on the floor, about 1" apart, and lie down on them face up. I then slowly move my body along the floor which causes the balls to move down my spine.
