Wanted to rate this higher, because most of the products in it deserve 4 or 5 stars. I really like the cleanser and moisturiser - 5 stars each. I prefer a "sting" to my aftershave, which this product doesn't have, but it is. Pleasant and soothing, so 4 stars. The shave creams a total bust. Poor lather that breaks down quickly. I could not lather with a brush AT ALL. Dries quickly on my skin. 1 star here.

In general, I'm a Proraso guy. But I like to try other products including DR Harris, TOBS, etc. I just finished a shave with Lucky Tiger and quite honestly, I'm blown away. I have used the facial wash from this set frequently since I got it. I've found it to be outstanding. I finally got around to shaving with Lucky Tiger and learned I've been missing out.Liquid Shave - I used a badger brush in a scuttle and the lather was comparable to some of the finer shave CREAMS that I've used including Taylor of Old Bond. I have a tough beard and shave with a Feather AS-D2. The blade slides effortlessly across my face without my usual pre-shave routine of Proraso or P3.After Shave & Face Tonic - I was already sold after the shave itself and had no expectations for the aftershave treatment. Wow. Gentle, smooth, protective and moisturizing. Not sure how they got all that into one product, but they did. I read somewhere that there may be witch hazel in it, but the effect is so much more than a standard splash with Thayer's. It's moisturizing without being oily and there's an immediate feeling of healing on my face. Truly remarkable and unexpected.Face Moisturizer - Smooth and gentle, it's a perfect compliment to the aftershave and face tonic.I'm a fan of the rich, spicy orange scent. As much as I like it, I'm glad it doesn't linger and get old. It's just refreshing and satisfying.As much as a love my Proraso, I may be sharing shaves with this Lucky Tiger. I've seem complaints about the price. Think about it. Remember what you spent on crappy cartridge razors and expensive shave gels. This Lucky Tiger combo is a trip to a spa, and there's a lot a value in that, in my opinion, just sayin'.One other thing - the tin is great for storing all kinds of stuff. Mine's now full of rubber bands.

This is a nice little gift set. The item that I like the most in the set is the "Face moisturizer". It's scent free, and leaves skin feeling soft 'without' any residue that is left by just about every other cream out there. It's a 5 star product for me. I wish it was cheaper.The "Aftershave and face tonic" has a mild scent that disappears within a minute. It's not as refreshing as an alcohol based aftershave, but it feels good never the less. Many would say this is much better for your skin than a alcohol based aftershave. This is a four star product for me, as I prefer alcohol based aftershave.The "Liquid cream shave" whips up into a rich lather in line with any other decent shave cream/soap. I use a wet shave brush with a couple of drops of water and cream to build a lather in my hand for about a minute to achieve this. This is a good cream, but not that special. I'd rate it 4 stars. Generally I prefer shaving soaps over shaving creams. Tabac is a fav.The "Face wash" is good. but nothing overly exciting. I prefer to use scrubs like St.Ives over this. 4 Stars for this included item.Overall, this is a nice kit. The packaging is very nice, and the retro looks of the plastic bottles are nice, but they would be nicer if they were glass. Currently it's selling at around $60, and that makes each of the products around $15. I think it's a bit high for what you receive. While I like this set, I don't think it warrants the price. Most likely I won't buy this again based on the price tag.

This set, coupled with a good razor, is the essential shaving set for any man. The face wash feels great and leaves your skin looking fresh and clean. The liquid shave cream, lathers up real nice, offers great protection, and smells great. The aftershave is excellent, very soothing, and absorbs quickly. Finally, the face moisturizer is a great finisher and is one you can use throughout the day. Not heavily scented and keeps the skin hydrated for hours. The only complaint is the aftershave smells great with a orange peel scent, but doesn't last long at all.
