There are 2 things that every human needs to invest in,. #1 is a camera in your car( we literally were just saved because the camera showed the true events of our car crash against the word of a lying motorist) #2 and more important than number 1.... a fireproof bag. Literally I see every single day a news story involving fires in my state,. We have alot of old houses in Massachusetts, alot of irresponsible landlords, and alot of really crowded outdated electric lines etc. So there is triple decker fires several times a week. I watch the news and see the people who are displaced. They "lost everything" this includes all of their personal items including documents, pictures etc.I did not want to be one of those people who would have to walk to the ends of the earth to find documents, to have to replace passports, social security cards, birth certificates, marriage and house documents... I also didnt want to lose my pictures. I have literally one photo of my grandmother. I would be devastated if I lost it because i did not want to invest in a fire proof bag. The cost is worth it!Now the bag itself i was not expecting to come flat in what appeared to be just a document sized pouch but magically you can pop it right open and it expands to a really good size. You can fit so many things in it. I was able ot put all my taxes, personal documents including our last wills which we have 4 kids and I need to know they will have a place to go if we pass, cards etc in there as well as a small box of photos. I can probably get my laptop ,jewelry and a few more items in before i would consider it to be full. Its really sufficient enough for your most beloved and important items. The quality is super nice, lightweight, comes with a carrying strap and is lockable. I would probably leave mine unlocked as i would be in and out and dont want to wear it out, but i would lock it if we left the house for vacation or something. Its stylish as a side note.Dont sit there and be like.. naw i can spend the money on something else, how often would a fire happen? IT DOES. Far too often. Fires happen so often and so unexpectedly. Disasters happen. Dont be one of those who regret it when you lose all of your important items. BUY IT.. Now... why are you still reading this!! BUY NOW!! GO!!!Please

This is the first fireproof bag I have purchased (so, I don't know if this is normal for fireproof materials) but they were sticky to the touch. I mean.... really weirdly & unpleasantly sticky. I returned the order before I even got it home. I am a texture person. That much is true.... and I'm a sucker for a new soft blanket! So, perhaps this is just one of my "quirks," and (so long as you're not bothered by off-putting textures) you'll love the fireproofness of these sticky bags! ;)

Unfortunately, this would not hold 3 inches of legal sized documents in folders.I had to return the product.

The combination lock is pretty basic, but keeps curious eyes away from your important documents. Of course, a knife will make quick work of the material - but then, you're not buying a safe here.The only quibble is that the boxy shape is great to help it stand up, but the single zipper in the middle makes getting folders in and out tougher the more you fill the bag. A double-zipper down either side would have been better.But it's sturdy and provides a great 'go bag' for important documents.
