Yes!!! The scales a defiantly movable, they swing and spin. I think you can even face scales above head on the large (29") as oppose to waist height, (The seller does not know quality or capabilities of their own product). I bet the manufacturer knows!!! I have two one scales up over head, on the medium (18") size and one scales down own the large (29") size. (I like it either way up or down. Again. "YES" the scales are "movable".
