yes would this tape work for under the hood of my car to wrap the wire loom ?

I see lettering on the package. Does the role have lettering? I want to tape one seam on an inside wood stove metal pipe. The lettering would look bad

Are you supposed to cover the taped lines with an additional cover, or is this tape the outermost layer of protection on outdoor lines?

Thank you for your question! This tape is designed to be the outermost layer of protection on outdoor lines.  The lines are usually wrapped with an insulative material (such as rubber insulation) and then the tape is applied over the insulation for an additional layer of protection against the elements, vermin, etc.  Local building codes may dictate that outdoor line sets are encased in a hard plastic covering, instead of being wrapped with tape, so please be sure to check your local building codes to ensure compliance.
