sizes are misleading - order sleeve that's 1.6x larger than you think you need!
Ordered some 1/2" DIAMETER (from the product description) sleeve. What that *actually* means is the sleeve is 1/2" wide in its flat on-roll condition.Diameter is, of course, the width of a circle, not the width of a flattened out sleeve. Practical upshot, when unflattened into it's natural circular shape (not counting any temporary expansion to be had by compressing the sleeve lengthwise), the sleeve has an internal diameter of about 0.31".So if you have a cable with connectors attached, and you measure the outer diameter of the connectors at less than 0.5", you might think the 1/2" diameter sleeve will work for you. Not even close. Ask me how I know!Practical upshot: You need to measure the diameter of the cable bundle you have (or the connectors if applicable), and then order sleeve that's 1.57x larger than that number. Conversely, for a given flat sleeve size, the diameter will be 0.63x that size. Some useful data:0.5" sleeve = 0.31" diameter0.75" sleeve = 0.47" diameter1" sleeve = 0.63" diameter1.25" sleeve = 0.79" diameter1.5" sleeve = 0.95" diameter

Darn slick ! ( HOW TO USE TIPS GIVEN AS WELL )
Bought this a while and gone through most. I do a lot of cables for friends ( it's always nice to call in favors later on ! ) as I guess they like my work. I find the colored sleeving such as this red and also blue are both very popular as it give it that certain slick look. Black use to be the thing however it seems people want that color accent the past couple years. Not much to say, it's good stuff.1. high quality2. smooth thread - meaning the threads themselves to make up this sleeving are even and don't make things catch3. true size - you grab X size you get X size. Not like you buy 3/4 and get poor quality and it ends up being just over 1/2. UGTIP: I use a small butane click torch right after I do a cut. Not to go nuts and melt the end entirely but just a quick heat flash over that end to weld together a few of those sleeving threads from having the end unravel.TIP: If you melt the end entirely what you'll find is that end part will not expand properly as the way it should so you'll find yourself cutting it off and redoing the cut or trying to force your wire through that smaller opening. Forcing it will just lead to frustration.TIP: If you've never worked with this type of stuff before, think of an inch worm especially the longer distance wires you need to sleeve. Fish some wire into the sleeve, then hold that beginning spot...then go to where the wire ends inside the sleeve and pull only the sleeve down. As you do this the wire will work its way further up the sleeving with ease, just like an inch worm moves on a leaf. Might sound weird to explain it but it works like a charm.TIP: At times the wires we need to sleeve are sharp ( wire itself or the wire jacket ) and they catch on the inside of the sleeve, in this case use a bit of electrical tape folded over evenly as doing this will make the wire slide much easier especially if you have a longer length of wire to sleeve.FINAL TIP: Heatshrink tubing, heatshrink tubing, heatshrink tubing. Make sure you have! Get those sleeve ends done up so they don't unravel and to make your job nice and neat. Again I use a butane click torch which works absolutely perfect. This stuff is high quality and I recommend this to absolutely everybody.Helpful, is how I hope you find my review.

Komplizierte Anwendung

Complete waste of money (((
What a waste ... it doesn't add any value ... it is just a sleeve around a single cable, yet only if there the plug at the end of the cable is not wider than the cable itself! What is the point of buying this product if you cannot open it from the sides ?! Don't waste a penny on this useless product, you have been warned!

As good as the real stuff
As good as the real on-brand stuff from PlioSil.Remember to order a size up as the listing dimensions are actually cross section when lied flat rather than the diameter of the circle! someone doesn't understand pii i guess.Anyway great stuff very usful in a camper van conversion for covering cables from metal edges.
