Weruva Classic Dog Food, Paw Lickin’ Chicken with Chicken Breast in Gravy, 14oz Can (Pack of 12)

When you open a can of this dog food, you see white meat shredded chicken. That’s all. It looks just like the shredded chicken you’d get if you cooked a chicken breast and shredded it yourself. My two little dogs loved it and so did my sweet German Shepherd. Sometimes I add chopped veggies just for variety and they love that too.

My Chihuahua loves this, the chicken has gravy in it. It’s very moist not dry good quality dog food there’s a lot of chicken in the can. It’s costly. I buy the case of 12 cans not made with any additives. It’s very safe and humane grade.

I have three medium-sized, adult dogs. I had been feeding them premium kibble with a different brand of premium wet food as a topper. They ate it, but sometimes left some food in their bowls. Weruva was recommended to me, and I’m so happy I tried it. My dogs go wild for it. I’ve purchased Paw Lickin Chicken, Wok the Dog, Steak Frites, Jammin Salmon, and Funky Chunky. They love all the flavors. They all are good quality and contain ample amounts of protein. My only note is sometimes there is variation in the amount of chicken in Paw Lickin Chicken between cans. Ie some cans have more chicken and some have more gravy. But it evens out overall. I divide one can per meal between the three dogs and add it with their kibble. Meal time has become a hilarious period of wild excitement every morning and evening. My dogs yelp and shriek with delight and leap into the air when the can is opened. One of my dogs jumps up and pats me on the back with paws. Another one stands on hind legs and wags tail so his whole body wriggles. I have to feed them in separate rooms or else they will snarf down their food and then try to steal the other dogs’ meals. My neighbor asked me recently if my dogs are “okay” because he heard the excited yelps and barks. I explained: “My dogs like their food too much!” I am grateful to have found this food, and have come to the realization I can never change it because the dogs won’t let me. In the past I have made plain steamed chicken breast and scrambled eggs for my dogs as toppers and I honestly think they like the Weruva food more than those. I would recommend feeding with kibble or other sources of fiber since the cans don’t have high fiber content.

Oh my goodness!! I've tried so many different brands of food over the years and nothing has ever gotten this big of a reaction! My pups go crazy for this!! My 16 yr old dog was getting pretty thin because she wasn't interested in eating - not anymore! This looks like human food, it's shredded chicken breast! I even have to put some down for my kitties when the pups eat because every animal here loves it! I feel great knowing they're eating QUALITY food, not fillers and a bunch of trash. I hope this never stops selling because it's the very best I've ever found, by a mile!!

Our dog is a picky eater, he won't eat most wet food because it is ground. He also has a sensitive system and he gets red on his back haunches when he eats most commercial canned food. This food is not only accurate with its description but it agrees with him, no red. It has a great price with all good nutritional value, no byproducts or cheap additives.

My Morkie is an extremely picky eater. We have always had to beg her to eat. We have bought a number of premium foods with no luck. The very first time I opened a can of this food - I started mixing it over some kibble and she started barking and running around the kitchen. We had absolutely never seen her excited for food before. She ate her whole meal right away, which was another first for her. It is a high quality food - and it apparently must be very tasty.

I love this food and would encourage all to try it. It's of high quality, looks and smells delicious, and my dogs love it. I love Amazon too, but they really aren't handling the shipping of this product properly, so buying it from them became nothing but aggrevation and waste. BEWARE: DENTED CANS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO CHANCE. There was no packing material for any of my 3 cases, and approximately 25% of my cans were dented, putting their contents at risk for contamination. I did not see any options to return these cases whole or be compensated in any way, so I was forced to work around my problem as best possible. I refrigerated the 12+ dented cans I first spotted at arrival and used them asap. The other cans looked fine upon inspection, so I stored them in a safe place and thought all would be okay from there on in. Unfortunately, weeks after the initial order, I noticed that other cans were showing signs of damage too i.e. sunken or slightly distorted tops that were not dented upon my first inspection. I know that nothing damaged these cans in the interim, so I believe their seals must have been compromised when the others were initially dented, and with time the vacuum must have been compromised which resulted in the cave ins. I was not going to take a chance and give contaminated food to my dogs, so I ended up throwing out 5 cans (there goes my savings). Thereafter, I also felt nervous to give my dogs food from the other cans that remained. This whole purchase was very stressful and wasteful and therefore I cannot recommend taking a chance to buy this great food from this site again, unless the issue of proper packaging is remedied. Also, reveiwing others comments, I have noticed I was not alone in this experience. If cans aren't packaged with some insulation, there is probably a good chance they will get dented. Maybe the shipper dents the cans, but the packager i.e. Amazong should protect them so they are not so vulnerable and we get the product we wanted and paid for.

If you are looking for a canned dog food that has no fillers, this is it. This food is pure chicken, with gravy. High quality protein for your pup!

Both of my cats won't go anywhere near this bland chicken water mess they're passing off as 'cat food'. They don't accept returns either so I'm stuck with 11 unusable, useless cans of this stuff. Do not buy it.
