We bought this to look out to sea. It is perfect! We used it to replace another one and this is so much better. Easy to focus and we bought the stand too so we can keep it steady. Very pleased with this purchase.

Got this in Saturday, but had to wait for a "no-rain" day to test it. Set it up on the front porch, with the tripod that came with it. The furnished tripod will work okay up to 35-40X, but don't move, or even breath near the scope on a higher setting, or you will feel like you are experiencing an earth quake. Set it up on my good Vanguard camera tripod, and played with the settings from 20X all the way out to 60X. The 80 mm objective lens lets plenty of light in on high settings. Will have to try at sunset to check for low light. I assume since the magnification is 60X, the larger objective lens allows a sharper focus, especially around the edges at higher multipliers. I know that can be an issue with camera lenses, so would assume the same here. Focused on some pine trees somewhere between 500 and 800 yards out. Nice, clear view with great detail on all settings. Could have counted individual needles at 60x! The focus knob is easy to reach, and turns smoothly to minimize shaking at higher magnifications. Although one would normally find a viewing target at lower magnification and focus, you will need to do minor re-focusing as you move to higher magnifications. Considering the low cost of this unit, that is not an issue to be concerned with and works well enough to be considered a plus for the unit. The construction seems solid, the scope has a great feel, a little heavy, but okay for a well-constructed and BIG scope. In the specs, they give size in mm, but I grew up in an inch world, so was a little bigger than I expected when I opened the box. A plus is the large ring at the 80 mm end pulls out for a sun shade to keep stray light off the lens. The lens caps fit well and stay put. The magnification dial and focus knob are relatively easy and smooth to turn, and both stay put when set. The eye peace has a nice eye shield that turns smoothly to help with eye placement for easy viewing. The scope comes with a smart phone holder that I saw others criticize. Yeah, maybe it could be better, but it does work. Patiently following the instructions helps. I have a Samsung Galaxy 6 (I know, old technology, but serves me well) Attaching a photo taken using the phone mount. I think the next step will be to get an adapter to attach to my Canon cameras. I bought this mainly to use at the shooting range, but suspect the quality will encourage me to take it as part of my regular camera gear when I go on a photo shoot. It is just that nice to use.

This scope provides excellent resolution for the money and for the most part is easy to use. I did find it very front heavy when using with a tripod and those compact spotting scope mounts some shooters use, may struggle to stay upright and stable.

works well for the price, the glass is not as good as a vortex but it is still clear, built in sun shade is nice glare can be very bad with out it. The included shoulder strap broke after falling 3 feet on to grass, and the included phone mount is not as bad as i thought it would. overall its easy to set up and will get the job done at a fraction of the price. if you are a serious about hunting or what ever your use for this is i would save up and get a vortex just because of the warranty they include.

I'm very happy with this item, it is in my opinion great value for money and does what I want it to perfectly, I I could pick a minor issue it would be the main cap over the lens doesn't fit snugly but that really isn't an issue.
