I’ve had the original ones for a few years now, these are top grade easy to use security cameras a MUST HAVE for baby sitting , home security etc!!! Might have to upgrade my outdoor ones as well to solar!

I purchased this camera to view my aging mother. So and keep a track on what's going on with her. And it works great.

This camera has more features than I would expect at this price point. Connectivity is pretty good, the app isn't the most intrusive I've used, but it provides really good control of the camera's motor and image functions. The intercom mode works well, although the audio was a bit choppy for me. Overall it's not a bad system at all and I find it most useful to look after the pet when I'm away. The camera picks up a whole room.

Horrible App. Could not cancel cloud subscription auto-renew. Cloud subscription vendor based in China billed me $29.99 when I stopped using this camera over an year ago. I emailed the vendor to stop charging me, to which the cloud subscription vendor in China refused. DO NOT BUY!!! So angry at this vendor. I called Amazon customer service who gave me their phone number 556-172-6721. I called and the number does not work. Imou is a scammy company.

I feel like I’ve tried em all. And this IMOU 6 MP is middle of the road. The price was right and it wasn’t hard to set up, however it says it can handle up to 256 G microSD and that has proven to be problematic. The cloud product they push hard is too expensive so I’ve been relying on local SD cards and I’m all the way down to 64G in order to maintain functionality and proper indexing. The picture is crystal clear, the App is better than most lower tier systems and the connectivity with WiFi is a snap. Motion detection including differentiation of human movement works pretty well. And I have two of these which make them both compatible with the same app for once. But it comes back to user experience and the SD card reading is a big ding to me. I’d like to have 30 days or so of backlog and due to the memory cards not indexing properly it’s been a challenge. Deducting 1.5/2 stars for the overpromising of higher gig memory potential. Everything else is peachy.

This is easily one of the best indoor security cameras I’ve owned. Compared to some older cameras I’ve used, the difference in clarity is huge. Instead of grainy, dark, and muddy footage, this one gives a much sharper and cleaner image that actually lets you make out details. One of the best features is the dual-lens design. It uses two independent 3MP lenses for a combined 6MP view, with one fixed lens watching a key area and one PTZ lens that can pan and tilt around the room. That setup gives much better coverage and helps reduce blind spots, which makes it feel like a real upgrade over basic single-lens indoor cams. Setup was simple and pretty standard. I downloaded the app, paired it to my phone, and had it running without much trouble. It also supports dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi along with Wi-Fi 6, which is a nice plus for a more stable connection in a home full of other smart devices. The AI features are surprisingly useful too. It can detect people, pets, motion, and even abnormal sounds like a baby crying, then send alerts right to your phone. Auto motion tracking is a nice touch, and the two-way audio makes it easy to check in while away. There’s also a one-touch calling feature, plus a siren and spotlight for added peace of mind. Night vision is another strong point. The built-in spotlight allows for full-color night vision, and the listing says it can reach up to 49 feet. Combined with the 8x digital zoom, it gives you a much better look at what’s going on after dark. I also like the storage flexibility. You can use cloud storage if you want, but it also supports microSD cards up to 512GB for local recording. There’s even an AOR mode that saves space by recording at full frame rate during activity and at 1 fps when things are idle, which is a smart feature if you want longer recording time without paying monthly fees. Overall, this camera offers sharp video quality, wide coverage, strong smart features, and flexible storage options. If you’re upgrading from an older indoor cam, this one feels like a major step up.

I saw this Imou 6MP Security Camera Indoor, Dual Lens 36°Pan Tilt and decided to give it a try. I’ve never had or used an indoor security camera before, so I have really low expectations. The security camera was fairly quick and easy to set up. One of the first steps in setting it up was installing the app on my smartphone and then configuring the camera from the app. Fortunately all of the stars aligned and the system was compatible with my network and smartphone and everything worked as it should. The camera detects motion quickly and accurately. It sends me AI generated notifications as to what it is seeing. The video is crisp and clear. From my smartphone I can remotely scan the room with the camera. The fee to use the security service is free the first month and $16.99 thereafter. I think the price listed for this security camera is reasonable and it exceeded my expectations.
