Most important, it is cordless and very convenient
I charge it, I use it all the time in the kitchen. Yes I did get it for the horrid onions to be chopped but now I use it for whipping my cream too. It grinds the nuts as well which go into my cakes.I say it is excellent and not a white elephant in the kitchen!

Expected Higher Quality
I don't know how long this cordless mini processor will last. The bowl is made from thin plastic. Not very sturdy. Also, the interior of the bowl has a few ridges that run up and down the bowl. When a rubber spatula is used to transfer the contents, the spatula doesn't scrape smoothly. That's kind of annoying because I have to work harder to scoop food out. And then there is the handle that is very flimsy, thin and isn't round, so it feels odd. I wish I had noticed this in the photos or product videos. I can see the handle breaking in the future. The bowl and lid were easy to engage and remove. Because it is a cordless processor, make sure the lid is not engaged when stored. It chopped half of a medium onion uniformly, but I did have to open the lid to push the bigger pieces down (I chopped the onion into smaller chunks before processing). It did a fine job making a smooth sauce. For the price, I expected a top-notch product like my Kitchenaid stand mixer.

KitchenAid KFCB519ER Cordless Chopper, 5 cup, Empire Red
All l can say is: AWESOME! lm an elderly disabled person and l just love love love the super convenience of the cordless feature. Being in wheelchair makes it inconvenient to use electric kitchen appliances on a high countertop. The cordless feature allows me to do chopping or whipping on MY level. It can be bit costly but its totally worth the portability. l highly recommend it.

Not a great salsa maker - poor design - made of cheap plastic - overpriced
I ended up returning this item for the following reasons :1. Not great for making salsa. The middle of the bowl has a large hollow tube which is designed for the blade and motor. The problem with this design is that it makes scooping the contents out difficult and using the bowl itself as a salsa vessel almost impossible.2. Bowl is made of very cheap thin plasticI returned this item for another food chopper that was 1/4 the price, came with GLASS bowls instead of cheap plastic and also did not have the large hollow tube in the middle, so I can use the same bowl I make the salsa in to serve and store the salsa.

Great gadget for spall chores
It is small, simple to use and does not require to be corded. Great for quick chopping. But be carefull it chops quickly and well so use a pulse method to chop.

Good, but inconvenient at times.
It is only getting 4 stars because the one thing I dislike about it is that when you fully charge it and turn it off and put away in the cabinet, it does not stay charged. You have to get it out and charge it again before you use it. I realize it only takes 10 minutes for a quick charge, but it takes 2 hours to fully charge. For the price and the reputation of KitchenAid, I thought I would get a better product.
