If You Had Your Birthday Party on the Moon

I bought this book because I love the illustrator's work and I was not disappointed. The illustrations are brilliant and so well thought out and really engaging for children and adults. The book itself was also brilliant, I was delighted to read it myself before reading it to my son and I think it has years of enjoyment ahead for us as it is educational but in a subtle way for younger children. A great buy, and a very high quality product.

The title and the cover initially drew me. I thought it looked perfect to read at a space-themed birthday party in case we had a lull or got rained out. I was expecting a children's story book, perhaps along the vein of the ever popular "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Series" or something like that. However, this is more of a factual and informative book, albeit an amazingly illustrated one. The art work really is "out of this world," (pun intended).So, while it turns out it wouldn't be suitable to sit and read to the group of party guests as I had hoped - it would be much too long - I think I may still use it as table decor, and if it happens to pique the interest of kids for their perusal, all the better!I'll still give it 5 stars because it is a really well done book. Quality illustrations and educational. My space-loving child will still enjoy it.

I bought this as part of a kids birthday gift. The kiddo loves all things space. Their mom texted me that they have been carrying this book with them everywhere they go! What a compliment. I only peeked at the inside so I can't really comment on the "story" but the pictures were beautiful. I believe the story is like if we hit a pinata on the moon here's what would happen. A fun twist on a birthday party. The birthday kid loves it! It made for a beautiful gift!

What a great children's book with unbelievable beautiful illustrations! My 5 year old grandson loved the book! A ten year girl who I mentor also loved the book! I highly recommend the book for all!
