Will it hold up over time? *by G***N on May 8, 2024* The most common theme and expert here is to keep your broken zipper around--be buried with it, if possible! Well, I didn't do that. All metal. No weak snapping together. Decent quality--not great. Zipper-slides, fitted on newer items these days, simply disentegrate. It seems that they are painted ceramic--not metal. So, the industry is problematic, in the first place. (This reminds me of a cheap chain-link remover for bicycle tires. The body of it actually was ceramic--not painted silver!) I man handled the stop and the first teeth to ptove perpendicular to each other. After much frustration, I got it on. (It's very easy to install it upside-down!, or on the wrong side!) I also attempted with another slide--seemingly, that slide appeared to have a better fit. It would not slide at all: That's puzzling. It does zip up and down nominally, currently.
