They are very durable, and perform all expected duties very well. I, peronally, have never needed to use the pointy tips on one corner for aything, but I know there are plenty of people out ther that would need that. I have a set of these and a set of Bench Cookies, and I can't really say which one is better. As long as you wipe them with a damp cloth at then of the woodworking day, they'll be very close to equally slip-resistent and useful.
