I have recently developed a severe reaction to all bug bites and will scratch myself raw to alleviate the itching. Nothing has worked to help ease the irritation until this device. I have used it frequently. I am an avid gardener, so staying inside to avoid being bitten is not an option, and yes I even get bitten with bug spray on.It doesn’t take the itching away completely, on all bites, but for the majority, using it once or twice on a bite greatly reduces the irritation. My husband has started using it also and agrees that it is very effective. He has a typical reaction to bug bites and it works well for him.Be forewarned, the first time you use it, you will feel it. It’s mildly unpleasant, but after that initial use, you know what to expect. I still wince when I use it, but I will continue because it works. I do use it on the lower setting and that’s enough for me.I would recommend it if you get bitten frequently. It’s totally worth it.I DO NOT recommend using it on children!

However, if you have extremely sensitive skin or a low pain threshold, this might not be the best option for you.Overall, the Beurer Insect Bite Healer has become my go-to solution, effectively replacing all my previous anti-itch remedies.

It's not perfect, but it sure beats scratching a bug bite until you're bleeding with no relief. This device is like scratching that is efficacious because it's happening below the surface of the skin, ie, where the actual toxin that's irritating you is. I recommend it unless you find the sensation of heat on your skin (for a few seconds) intolerable.

This tool is the best invention ever for me! It really works. Sometimes I use it more than once on a bite, but it always works for me. Mosquitoes love me even when I am drenched in mosquito repellent, so I end up getting bitten when we go to the Eastern Sierra to vacation. The item really does what they say it will. It works better than any ”itch” cream or topical remedy. It does use heat, but it’s not painful, especially when a bite is itchy and driving you crazy. It wasn’t painful at all to me. I am not sure how a young child would respond to the heat, but it’s definitely not anything that would burn or damage your skin. I highly recommend trying it.

This is our fourth time buying this item. We bought it for personal use and for gifts. We used to use the device that manually suctions the bug bite, but a friend of ours told us about this item and let us use it. We bought it instantly because it truly does work. I am notorious for getting bit and my body is slightly allergic to bug bites so they get severely inflamed and itchy. When I use this product, my inflammation improves by 70% and the itching is probably 50% better. The trick to this product is you must use it right when you feel the itch or see the “bump”. I also use it multiple times if I feel it getting very itchy and it really help. I believe the heat/burning effect is what truly helps the bite. Warning: it does hurt but it’s temporary and make sure you sure you use the highest setting to make it worth it! I highly recommend this product if you’re out, traveling and especially during the summer.

Mosquitos will hunt me down, I’m talking 27 bites after 30 minutes outside. FFS. I scratch the bites so hard - even in my sleep - that I bruise and sometimes even end up drawing blood. I’ve tried specialized salves, the patches (they do help but not enough for me ), and other topical pain relievers. I figured if I was out $30, then so be it. But I’m not out $30. This was worth every nickel. I’m not going to pretend like this didn’t hurt like a !!!! when used for the 3 second setting, because it did. Mother of pearl, did it hurt. But the pain became irrelevant as I no longer felt the need to scratch the bejesus out of my bug bites. I’m sold! I was worried it was going to burn my rather pale, sensitive skin, and nope - not at all. Buy it.

This unit takes away the itch, insofar it works very well. Sometimes I have to use it twice, but every mosquito bite stops itching and can heal without me permanently scratching it. The heat can actually be very uncomfortable to straight out hurting. Not a buy if you want to use it on small children or sensitive people. For me a few seconds of discomfort are better than days of itching, but it's a trade off that everyone has to weigh for themselves.
