Excellent set for 5yr old. Very easy to use for him. Love the little items and moulds that it comes with. The sand does stay together more like a sticky putty. The three colours really do honestly smell just like vanilla chocolate and strawberry. He’s had hours of fun playing making me all sorts. Perfect gift for any child. Even I’ve had fun making ice creams and waffles!!

I bought the kinetic sand pizza box set for my DD’s birthday, and it was a huge hit! She’s had hours of fun making her own little sand pizzas, toppings, and creations. The sand is soft, easy to shape, a little messy but nothing your Hoover can’t handle, it’s a big win for me. The set comes with great little tools and moulds that kept her entertained for ages. Such a brilliant, creative gift definitely recommended!

This is my second purchase of this item as I loved it so much I thought I'd get another as a gift. It's fab quality, the ice cream 'machine' is sturdy and easy to use. You get quite a bit of sand with it too, but of course all the colours mix on the first play. I love that each ice cream colour has its own scent. My son loved making swirly ice creams and played with it for hours. There are so many little bits you can do such as little moulds on the handle of the ice cream scoop to make little sprinkles with. Well worth its low price!

This Kinetic Sand Unicorn Bake Shoppe set has been a big hit. It is colourful, sparkly, squishy, and exactly the sort of thing that makes children immediately abandon whatever sensible toy you thought they might play with instead. The sand feels lovely to mould and squish, and the teal and pink colours make everything look like it belongs in a tiny unicorn bakery run by someone with very strong opinions about glitter. The little tools are a nice bonus and make it easy to create pretend cakes, treats, and various mysterious bakery items that may or may not be edible in unicorn land. It is also good for sensory play. It keeps little hands busy, encourages imaginative play, and is oddly satisfying even for adults who are “just helping” but somehow end up making a small sand cupcake for ten minutes. There is some mess, because of course there is. Anything involving children, sand, and enthusiasm is never going to remain perfectly contained. That said, it is much easier to clean up than normal sand, and most of it clumps together well rather than spreading everywhere like a tiny beach invasion. Overall, it is fun, bright, creative, and keeps kids entertained. A great little set for unicorn fans, pretend bakers, and anyone who enjoys controlled chaos with a shimmer finish.

I bought this for my 2.5-year-old son and we’ve had so much fun playing with it together. Although it’s labelled 3+, with supervision it has been absolutely fine for us. The set does contain some very small decorative pieces, so I simply kept those aside for safety. The set comes with three different scented kinetic sands — chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla — and they smell surprisingly nice without being overpowering. The colours are lovely and vibrant too, although my son quickly mixed them all together anyway! The moulds and accessories are fun to use and help create lots of different ice cream shapes, which keeps the play interesting and encourages creativity and imaginative play. The texture of the sand is fantastic — soft, slightly sticky, easy to mould, and very satisfying to touch. It holds shapes well without feeling dry, making it perfect for sensory play for younger children. I’m also impressed with the durability. After playtime, I store the sand in a sealed food bag and it stays soft and fresh for reuse. We’ve already played with it multiple times and the texture still feels like new. The quality feels very good overall and the price is reasonable for the amount of fun and replay value you get. Overall, this is a lovely sensory play set and I would definitely recommend it for young children with supervision.
