How can you sleep at night, saying that XT30 connectors are rated for 60A intermittent when they're really only rated for half that much current?

I don't recall every saying that XT30 connectors were rated for 60A; as far as I know they are rated for 30A continuous. I've also never heard anyone else claim they're rated for 60A. The larger XT60 connectors are rated for 60A. In terms of burst current, it all depends how long the 'burst' is; an XT30 would survive a very short burst of very great magnitude. For example, 100A through an XT30 with a resistance of 2.1 m-ohm would produce 21W of heat in the connector–how long would it take for this to heat the connector too much–only a small fraction of a second.
