What a fun knife!
Fantastic soil knife! I used is to dig a Dakota fire pit on a recent camping trip and it performed flawlessly. It is well-built, attractive and the leather sheath is a beautiful touch. The serrations do scar the interior of the sheath but that doesn’t bother me. The full tang looks great and adds tons of strength to an already sturdy knife. I was able to pry out several large rocks and cut through minor roots with very little effort. The finger guard is a practical safety and did protect me at least once. The handle is square-ish but comfortable for medium sized hands. The variety of grips I used while digging wouldn’t lend itself to a contoured grip so the block construction makes sense. I used the knife several times, totaling a lot more than an hour of hard digging and never developed blisters or hot spots on my hands. The thickness of the blade (appears about abt .200 or 5 mm) provides ample heft to get through some tough material but also allows for a decent edge geometry. I was able to hack off and saw through 1/2” (13mm) roots and small branches from standing dead with ease. I have not tried to sharpen the simple edge yet. It is a very competent general purpose knife for me around the campsite and as a soil knife it is fantastic. It is one of my least expensive but most appreciated tools.

Makes weeding great again.
This had been a bad year for weeds in our garden as we must have gotten some crabgrass seeds in the mulch we purchased and they were taking over. We knocked the crabgrass back to size with this too. It is well designed and makes weeding much more efficient. It would also be very useful for transplanting as well. While it is kind of expensive, the workmanship and quality of the tool are excellent. It almost makes weeding "great again".

Versatile product
Bought it to help me keep up with gardening on a steep hillside behind my house. I was always finding that I didn't have the right tool with me while working on the slope. This really saves me trips up and down to get different tools. The serrated cutting edge works great on removing palm tree leaves.

Very good
I bought this for my husband for Father’s Day and he is thrilled with it. Only one drawback—he had to sharpen the smooth side of the blade because he felt it was too dull. But that was easy enough for him to do at home, and now he’s using it all the time in the garden for many different tasks.

How did I get along without it for so long?
It is quite honestly a must have in the garden. It can be used for weeding, cultivating, digging holes for seedlings, and small cutting jobs. How did I get along without it for so long?
