Yes, it's pricey, but it really is a quality product. The rechargeable battery seems to last for ages. I use this for night photography excursions and it serves a variety of purposes very well. Given it's small size and the fact that it's virtually weightless, I am continually impressed with it. I do have two other LedLenser torches, and these are brilliant, too. Very highly recommended, and a brand you can trust.

Typical LED Lenser product, pay just a little bit more and get superior quality. Lights up a good distance around you without dazzling which I was surprised with as its so small! Some people are expecting a bright white light from reading some reviews but this is the warm version, it's so much better in my opinion. Lights up a 2 man tent like a beacon on full power but even then, not blinding light. I was expecting some metal in the build but the materials they are using are very strong plastics, except steel carabiner clip, which make it super portable (Fits in a small pocket or just clip it to waistband/other molle) More than fit for purpose for outdoors adventures with a 2-4 person tent in my opinion. 10/10

Great lanterns that are worth the investment, I just wish that the red light mode was much brighter/stronger, as even on it's highest setting, it is rather disappointing.

Easily illuminates a two person tent. Red function for emergencies too. Very bright.

I love this little LED lenser lantern. It was perfect for a small camping tent to illuminate all corners of the tent. Works much better than trying to use a head torch. The warm white colour is probably a bit dimmer than the cool white version, but is very easy on tired eyes! I particularly loved that it accepts voltages for both AA sized NiMH and Lithium rechargeable/ single use cells and so you have the ability to take a spare with use to replace on the fly. Just as a note, it is small, so don't be expecting it to be providing useful light for anything much larger than a 3 person tent.

Ledlenser developed their own batteries, specifically for lamps, so it can last longer. Apparently they own over a 100 patents. This very small lantern is powerful, efficient, and it made me feel good. The lowest setting is not as strong as people describe, but it is good for most things. Absolutely love the snap hook design, which came in handy in my hammock (see picture). Warm light, red light, blinking light, AND a lovely fluorescence after use, so you can find it immediately after turning it off. Sometimes I hang it to my trousers to walk at night, in this instance I prefer using a stronger setting. So compact, it's a joy to travel with it. Haven't used it for long enough to speak of durability yet. Will do!
