So, it wasn't necessarily hard to assemble, just kind of a hassle. However, I'm glad this product assembles and disassembles for cleaning purposes. Once together, it should remain intact without any issues... within the first 6 hours of having it, I acclimated a fish by bag, then the box and then freedom and I enjoyed how smooth it went. I also quarantined my gourami in this box that he happily swam into for picking on my girlfriends snail, he was mad but I eventually let him free with ease, by just simply sliding the trap door open... I do like this product, I just don't necessarily like the price...

This trap worth every dollar, I was able to remove every fish that I need out of my fish tank, it cost half of the price of all the other ones, great product.

Assembled in 10 minutes (once I figured it out sans instructions). Caught my bully Black Convict cichlid that I put in my community tank as a beginner in about 5 minutes after 2 weeks of unsuccessfully trying to catch.

I tried every conceivable method I could find to catch a particular smart fish and nothing else’s worked. Once I got this trap, it took two tries and I got him! I’ve also used it to acclimate new fish into the tank where they at safe while the existing guys get a chance to check them out.
