UPDATE 6/2023:Just before the one year warranty expired, the battery suddenly dropped in capacity from 96-98% to 76%, and I could tell that the battery had some slight swelling since it pushes against the trackpad and makes the haptic click feedback less detectable and clicking itself is less responsive. Cycle count: 125-127. I was pretty careful not to leave the charger plugged in all the time and to use the battery to keep it conditioned, but alas.Leaving the rating at 5 stars because the seller immediately offered to refund or replace. I would not hesitate to try another battery with the caveat of paying close attention at around the 1 year mark for signs of battery degradation. If I could deduct a half star I would, just because I think a battery should last longer than one year / 125 cycles before needing to replace. But given how customer friendly the seller is, and that they stand behind their warranty and product, it’s still ok.Original review:Was initially skeptical given the seller's name, but what's in a name? As long as the battery performs.Be sure to take a look at instructions online and watch YouTube videos so you don't damage your machine or the old battery. I accidentally punctured a cell on the old battery and it smoked a bit, and I thought I was being very careful (must be very careful about puncture if not using adhesive remover, if using adhesive remover liquid must be careful about damage to screen). Overall took 1-2 hours to replace, mostly from removing the old battery.The battery itself shows up as made by Simplo (a major battery OEM), with manufacture date of 2015-03-30. This seems to be some default date.After following the calibration instructions and resetting SMC (although people say nowadays with modern machines/OSes you don't need to calibrate anymore), the full capacity shows 4725 mAh vs design capacity of 4790 mAh, so about 1.4% lower than design, which I guess is acceptable if the battery doesn't lose capacity quickly. So far with the new battery, I am getting the 5+ hours of light use that I got when the machine was new, and around 3-4 hours with heavy use, as expected.Will update if the battery does not keep up its performance after more cycles (50-100+ cycles).2 month update: Still performing well, full capacity actually went up somehow so we're only 0.8% off design capacity. About 20 cycles so far.6 month update: Back to 1.4% off design at 98.6% design capacity. Around 60 cycles, good battery performance off charger.

This was a good transaction in terms of value, prompt shipping and seller communication. As of 6-7-22, the battery has been installed only a couple days.....its performance has been very good, however I cannot comment about how it will hold up over time. It was easy to install and the seller sent an email offering help, if needed, and mentioned there is a one year warranty.

This battery is 100% junk. I installed this into a machine and after a month I noticed the macbook kept dieing around 30-50%. I also noticed the touch pad starting to get hard to click. After taking a few screws out of the bottom of the laptop, the bottom panel started opening on its own. After I removed the bottom panel i could see the batteries center cell extreamly swollen. Normally this happens with age when it can do the chemical reaction it needs to charge and causes it to out gas but being that it was less then a month old, it was clearly defective right from the manufacturer. Swollen batteries are a fire hazard and I would never recommend this product to anyone unless they are trying to blow up their macbook.

If you have computer tinkering basics, it got my Mac up and running amazingly. Have had not problems since.

I feel like the battery should last a lot longer. After about 2 years it goes from 100 to 0 in 10 minutes.

The packaging was very clean, solved the issue of my MacBook not holding a charge with a bad battery. I am glad that it was easy to switch out the old battery with a new battery. Also, make sure that you take your time with removing the battery. We ripped open the rubber outside slightly and had chemicals spewing out which is not too safe.

I thought buying the battery would make for a simple installation, but upon reading previous reviews, I realized that removing the old battery would be quite challenging. And indeed, it proved to be. However, after investing careful time and effort, I managed to remove the old battery. This is where things started to get complicated. The old battery had a small, thin cable that was not included with the new battery. Connecting this cable to the new battery turned out to be a very difficult task. Despite spending several hours on it, I eventually reached a point of surrender. I consider myself to be tech-savvy, but this particular situation required knowledge of reseating an Apple OEM cable. Moreover, once I booted up the device using the power cord, I discovered that the keyboard no longer functioned.

I bought this battery back in January of 2022, however after a couple of months, the battery would not hold a charge. I opened my laptop and the battery was puffy. Every time I would press the battery, it would smell like lithium. I contacted them and they were able to send me another one. In that regards, customer service was great. The battery was shipped and arrived next day as well. We'll see how long this one lasts.
