I bought these for my Grandma in an assisted living home and they wash them as normal with her other clothes and the grip is still good.

Warm wash. I also dry regular heat/cotton. No sticking together after dry. Excellent non-skid socks!!

Are these vomfortable to wear in shoes?

no they would not be. the bottom is too thick to have shoes pushing. against them with the grips they have on bottom. I bought them to provide the grip as I go barefoot a lot in my home and they are great to provide non slip on hardwood floors

Maybe smaller men's feet. I wear an 11 in women's and I'd say they are stretched to the max on me.
