For this kind of money and gives you everything you need to get started. And it works pretty good. However I can’t get the sound to work right in the headset. I wish I had a better way of doing that but I don’t really have time to explore it either. Either way I’m happy with it I suppose. Because it came with everything I was ever going to need to get started and that just made it easy

Received my Ace 400 within a couple of days with all the accessories…no issues at all. Before I purchased this detector, I did my homework on it and tried to educate myself as much as possible. On my first hunt, my first find was a 1951 dime coin. If you’re getting into this hobby, this machine will suit you fine.

It was easy to put together. I didn't read the instructions, so after I put it together, I had to pull it apart and wrap the cord down around the handle pipe to the detector. Since it's winter, it has been used twice. Both times I found something, a big old nail and some tin siding. There are distinct different tones for metal types, which I will have to learn to distinquish. The directions are pretty good, teaching how to set the different screens for different types of searches.

It's a real nice metal detector. The only thing was the pro pointing at did not work. Want to know if I can get a replacement.

There were some great videos online to teach how to use it. I think it’s pretty lightweight to carry around. Now that we are using it. I have decided that I need to orange another pinpoint for the kids. This is a great way to have some family time and get up and moving. We can go for home and the kids will go until we sat done.

I got this set because it was water proof. It can be used in inclement weather. By river, lakes and swamps. In snow. Depth reading. Potential to identify before digging up! Overall usefulness.

This is my first metal detector. I have only used it a few times so I am still learning to tell the difference between metals, tones and settings. But as a beginner I found the Garrett Ace 400 easy to use. I found objects everytime I used it. It is simple and easy to use. I bought the full kit and everything in the kit is well made. I had everything I need to start detecting
