It turned on for a few seconds then nothing. I tried batteries and that saved the gig and the night. Then I opened up to check and everything was pretty much OK, so I ruled the original adapter as being useless... One local store was even selling a replacement adapter but when I consulted with them it was out of stock. So i just took the plunge and got this one. Its perfect. The cable is just a bit longer than the original, perhaps by a foot or so. Not much, but it makes a difference. it is pretty inexpensive as well. Very satisfied.

It works fine according to testing with a multimeter, but it wasn't compatible with my Microkorg S because the connector for this power supply is a bit too long to fit into the Microkorg S's socket.
