Is this blade truly white or light gray? I purchased a tape measure once that was actually light gray when I got it.

It is white. Definitely not grey. The visibility is very good with the white background for me personally. Liked it so much that when I needed to replace my tape for the table saw I used their fastcap tape for that as well.

Do you have this tape in a flat back?

Yes, the flat back is nice for layouts where the tape stays out. Be aware that if it is extended a ways (4' maybe) and you rewind it quickly, because it is flat it has a tendency to whip and hit your hand (it hurts). I like that you can add pencil marks to it and then erase them.

Is this tape measure class i, class ii, or unclassified? fyi, unclassified tape measures meet no standard and have absolutely no guaranty of accuracy.

I have bought a few of these and the last one was not accurate on measurements. Not sure about the class I would assume unclassified. They would not refund or exchange the product

What is the little rocker button on the very bottom just behind the hook?

When you set it down and the other end of the tape is hooked onto a board, it keeps the reel from rolling up the tape. It sort of locks the tape where it is and stops the spring from pulling the tape back in. This is hands down the best measuring tape I’ve ever used! The reverse design makes reading measurements incredibly intuitive, especially in tight spots. It feels solid and well-made, with markings that are easy to read and don’t fade. The built-in FastPad for writing notes is a genius touch, I use it ALL of the time with a mechanical pencil. I reach for it on every project because it makes my work so much easier.
