This meter is exceptionally well made and has a wide variety of features.

Needed a reasonably priced meter. Need 2 for some testing with the customer. For safety we had to be about 6ft away from the meters that were attached to the unit under test (UUT).Meters were accurate out of the box.Meters displays were very easy to see and worked great for the 3 days (10hrs a day) of testing we did.I'd buy these again.

After trying ANENG 681 and BSIDE A1, I bought UNI-T UT61E+ and prepared myself for another made-in-China disappointment. It turned out I liked it. It has a nice sturdy feel when I use it.Pros:1. It seems to be accurate. I don't have another high-quality meter to be certain of that, and I could not test all the measurements it offers.2. Reasonable initial measurement speed. Perhaps a second for maximum accuracy. The first one, two, or even try measurements would still be preliminary, and the last few digits are not yet fixed.3. Reasonable refresh rate, a few times a second.4. Readable display, from perpendicular to sharp angle from bellow. The readability downgrades when you pass 90 degrees and look downward at it.5. The multimeter itself is sturdy and will survive a fall from the desk. A possible exception is the back stand, it is not exactly flimsy, but it is tinier than other multimeters I played with.6. The switch has a nice lock at the correct position. You can put it between positions, but it will not stop naturally there.7. I like the ranges and the scale it offers.8. It is rather pretty to look at.9. Ability to connect and transfer data to a computer.10. I love that they added a thread on the back so you can attach it to a camera tripod, although I honestly don't know if I would ever use it.11. The data transmission cable is contactless. Meaning you should not worry about dist or debris entering where they should not.Cons:1. NCV feature is non-existant. I had to touch the NCV sensor to a powered cable and rotate the multimeter before it barely registered anything. At the time, the cable carried 300W ±50 at 120V 60Hz. This is the reason why I gave it 4 and 5 stars.2. I would have preferred 4xAA batteries instead of 4xAAA batteries.3. You cannot use the computer as a power source. To use the meter, batteries are required.4. Requires specialized data cable to connect to a computer.Neutral:1. The backlight is rather weak. It is completely enough to see the display, but I like it a bit more.2. Keep in mind that this device is not a pocket size.3. The red outer layer is non-removable. Meaning you cannot make it slimmer for a moment.Unclear:1. Would it work with rechargeable 1.2-volt batteries, or are 1.5V batteries required? Sorry, I won't be able to test that now. For example, BSIDE ZT-X instantly complains about low batteries when 1.2V rechargeable batteries are used.

So far, very satisfied.

This is a good meter for hobbyist. I would not recommend for too much mains power readings. Good for electronics, and low ac voltage. This meter has all the features I expected. So far has exceeded my expectations for accuracy for what I use it for. Great multimeter for the money.

I'm just a hobbyist but wanted a fast accurate meter with good safety features to replace my aging 20+ year old meter and this is certainly it, it's very very quick on continuity and super accurate and 3 months in so far the battery life has been good.The screen is large and clear with a decent viewing angle, the backlight is ok but not it's best selling point.I've seen reviews of this meter saying the NCV is useless but it seems to work absolutely fine on mine so I don't know if they've improved or updated this since initial reviews.I've seen this go up and down in price quite a bit and I bought at just around the £100 mark and I'm very happy with it for that amount, it was actually a present from my son to be honest and is primarily used diagnosing and repairing computer parts, power supplies, motherboards, graphics cards etc.Overall I'm very happy with the UNI-T UT61E+, the only negative is I just wish they dropped something less useful like Hfe and had temp on the dial and included a temp probe, which for my particular needs I'd find very useful, other than that it's awesome for my needs.

Great DMM , solid built, has USB interface, got the SW from the internet - lots of features export data as .xls, good quality leads, NCV is a nice one , got the Uni-T 61E+ , all the features that you need, highly recommend the seller!
