Nordic Ware Translucent Bundt Cake Keeper

When I broke my red one dropping it off of a second story balcony, no fault of the product, I purchased this version because the color was attractive. However the lid does not fit the base like the previous red one's that I've owned over many years. In the past, I would have no concerns but grabbing the handle on the lid and picking up a full cake carrier with a heavy cake inside and carrying it around. With this version I would NEVER attempt that. You can snap this lid in place and pull it right off of the base with just a little bit of effort. Very very disappointed in this aspect of this product. It's the lid that's at fault. The tabs on it don't fit the base nearly as well as units I purchased in the past with the red base. I can put this lid into my old red base same problem. So sorry I broke my old one. I'm tempted to buy another red one and see if the dome is manufactured the way they used to be on that version because this version and it's loose top is so disappointing after having had a few of these in the past that have a very secure lock.Final thought, this is not an anomaly with one unit because I bought two. They are both poor fitting and not secure when latched. If you just want a Cake cover and carry it by the base not a problem. But if you want this to function as a cake carrier with a secure lid not so much.

I bought this in hopes of using it for taking Bundt cakes to potlucks and such. Nope, the locking on it is NOT sturdy enough for that. It works for me as a home cake display and it is tall enough for even my biggest Bundt cake. Do not lift by the top, hold from the bottom

I purchased this for bundt cakes but I have discovered it works great for holding my sourdough loaves too. I love the sea glass color which matches nicely with other items in our kitchen as well as the Nordic Ware loaf keeper that I also have. I have no problem with the locking mechanism and would feel confident enough to transport a cake in this to a gathering. I would say the handle is more for lifting the top off than a carrying handle but that is not a deal breaker, as I would probably hold this from the bottom anyway. Nice, stylish piece!

Love the look and stability of this cake carrier. I'm a little disappointed in the locking feature. It is not a long enough twist to feel securely locked. it is a quick twist, and make me feel like I really have to hold onto the cake top and bottom for it to stay covered. but, for a quick trip, and secure hands while moving from car-to-house, it is very spacious and pretty to look at!

I needed a new cake keeper because my acrylic one cracked. This is mostly plastic and hard rubber and the top is very loose when you twist to close; not a secure fit. I kept it only because I needed one in a hurry. I will be looking for a 'better' cake keeper; possibly one that has a much better seal/closure.

I LOVE this bundt cake keeper. The "lock" really needs to be a bit deeper because it doesn't stay locked if you try to pick it up. BUT, I've already gotten tons of compliments on it. I keep a fresh bundt made so I like that its both functional and pretty to leave sitting on my counter.

I really like it, and it looks very easy to clean ( I haven't used it yet ). It's made better then some of the other cake keepers, I've had... I'm going to order the Loaf Keeper one after seeing Cake Keeper.Arrived today, fast delivery!MW

The description says that it is a (sea glass base). It is actually a sea colored plastic base. Not happy as I thought it would have been more upscale than something I could have bought at any department store. Really not cool since I needed two.

Bought this for the color even though reviewers said the lid locking mechanism isn't as good as the other color. It works fine for me. For heavier cakes you will have to transport/ hold from the base, not because the lid doesn't lock but because the handle is too short (unless you want cramped tendons). Having to carry heavy cakes by the base is not an issue for me. I'm very pleased. Looks great and size is perfect.

ich habe diese "cake keeper" als neue gekauft aber ich habe die Warewie gebraucht oder 2. Wahl gekriegt. Die Platte ist gekratzt wenn man gegen Licht sieht Auf den Deckel findet man Rau und Kratz ziemlich überall auch auf den Griff.
