Pleasantly surprised at the high quality of this tent at the price point I bought it (four season tents under $150usd). Itโs a double wall hexagonal pyramid (tipee) that does take time to set up even if you set up tents daily like I do. Itโs a trade off between convenience and comfort. Because this is a tent that would sleep four people, but I use it for me and my dog and itโs like having our own portable palace. It weighs a bit over ten pounds, but because it only has one center support pole, this tent collapses into a bag that will take up only half the trunk of a compact car. Expanded, it requires a 12 x 12 footprint and is tall enough for me at 5โ5โ to stand easily inside. The inner tent is standard tent nylon and noseeum mesh. Not waterproof but highly breathable. The outer tent is a heavyweight polyester outdoor fabric similar to what you find on a pop up canopy, but better. Itโs definitely waterproof. The zippers on each tent work well and havenโt stuck or caught in the fabric. There are no windows in this tent, but the tent comes with a second shorter pole to turn the door into a canopy. Properly set up and staked, I expect this tent to perform well under colder and/or wet conditions. It was 40 degrees this morning and I had very comfortable night without having to resort to a hot water bottle (safe heat for tenting) or the propane heater (not so safe heat for tenting and extreme fire risk so I do not recommend). My dog didnโt even use her blankets. Set up: this tent requires stakes to work. It came with enough stakes to stake the inner and outer tents separately at the base, but not enough to also stake the guylines for the outer tent as well. I actually like the stakes provided with the tent - heavyweight metal and pointed on the end. Normally, I get rid of the included stakes, but Iโll be using these. If itโs not going to rain, you can cheat and attach the outer tent to the same stakes, but doublewall tents rely on airspace and airflow between the layers to keep condensation down, so staking them separately will improve performance, especially in mild winter conditions. To repeat: not a freestanding tent. But highly versatile, attractive, easy (just time consuming) to set up even by one person in less than ten minutes. Iโm a medically retired veteran who travels and camps full time in the southwestern United States. In between doctor appointments, I explore and review state and national parks. I also own a one minute set up single wall tent that basically shakes open, press a button, and toss. This pyramid tent beats it for condensation management. Plus it looks cool.

Real Person. Real Review. I'm not sure what complaints are. Tent is well made, parts fit well, easy to set up (by myself - 10 minutes). It is extremely roomy and full front view doors. Will it leak? Maybe...however I'm handy and inventive. 4 season??? for $135 - Please people. It is a great tent to throw in Jeep, cruise to highest hill and camp overnight. The material is sturdy, taped seams and obviously waterproofed. What more could one expect? I never cease to be amazed at the ingenuity from overseas - seriously!!!

To start off and make it absolutely clear, this is not a suitable 4 season tent, it's fit for 2 seasons, 3 if you have a tarp underneath. The material on the bottom is not suitable for winter camping and the inner/outer layer design will not hold heat. If you're going to use it in colder temperatures, I suggest other options. The water and wind proofing is good enough for rain and light wind. Over all the tent is easy to put up if you have even a little experience with putting a tent together. It doesn't come with instructions so save this page, it's all you're getting but you shouldn't need it. Lay both layers out, light staking, snap on the witches hat, open the flaps, poll in and up. Then re-stake and tie it down. You will definitely want to tie it down. It is really light and the bag is big enough that you don't have fold it perfectly like a Coleman tent to get it to fit. Like a I said before, get a tarp to put under it, the material isn't thick enough or strong enough to go against the ground on its own. You make want a tarp inside too. Overall, a good tent for the price.

I really like this tent. I've had this tent in black & red for at least 6 yrs. I really like it so I bought one in a light color too. It's easy to set up & sturdy. I:e been in my first one during some pretty good storms & I stayed dry & it held up. If it was about a foot wider I probably wouldn't ever use my other tents.

Great tent! Can withstand rain and 1 thunderstorm(ground got too soft after the 2nd thunderstorm) . is easy to assemble as 1 person would be easier with more than 1 person.
