Expectant Parents: Preparing Together for the Journey of Parenthood

It’s a good read for a first time pregnant. It covers a lot of important topics for couples during this season. However, I think it can be misleading in that it doesn’t stress enough the importance of preparing with information about breastfeeding, sleeping a baby and activity time for babies. Which is vital information when expecting a baby

This book is great for the new to be parents. It gives such a great, Christian perspective on parenting and how to prepare your marriage for the new addition. We are huge fans of Focus on the Family and all their work, but really appreciated finding this little gem to help us get ready for our little bundle of joy! Highly recommend!

Overall this book has some good information and advise. The thing that almost turned me off and made me stop reading was all the refrences to god and jesus. As a none beliefer it was a huge negative as not everyone reading the book believes in god. With that said i still learned a lot and i'm sure it will benefit me in the future.

This book made me cry a few times (in a good way) and is a great stepping stone for discussions my husband and I will have as we prepare for the birth of our first child.

I know the author and she has always been a genuine, delightful...and highly intelligent individual. Her writing has always been superb.

Sounded good - gave it as a shower gift

My husband and I are reading it together each week and have found each chapter helpful so far.

I post this only because I know prospective buyers look at 1 star reviews. If you are a devout Christian, or not and are still comfortable with Christian references/views, this book is outstanding (from my 3 hours reading), I would give 5 stars, otherwise it may not suit you. Only wish there was a better description before I ordered it - though it wasn't expensive, I was very excited, it was my first baby book.

Great read and unlike any other book I’ve read during pregnancy. I highly recommend it! Would buy to give as gift for newly pregnancy couple...written from a Christian perspective but would be valuable content for any couple!
