Not impressed
This was going to be a present for my sister. When it arrived I had a look through and wasn't impressed, what few pictures there are being in black and white. I'll now end up keeping it for myself. there's probably some new recipes I can use but it's just not up to it to give as a present. I have three books of my own , bought from The Works and garden centers , cost far less and are a lot better.

Not the same as what is shown in the sample on the website which has coloured photos
Very disappointed in the photos. You cannot tell much by them as they are grey, white and black. The sample on the site that allows you to “peek inside” had lovely photos which give you an idea of what your finished product should look like. The photos in the sample are appetizing, as they should be in a cook book. I feel like I got a cheap photo copy of the promised book. The only thing that shows colour is the cover. A good example of setting false expectations. Hopefully the recipes are better than the presentation. It should be clearly stated in the description that it is in black (actually grey) and white.

This was a gift
I cannot like or dislike as this was bought at a gift & I don't believe the recipient has used her bread maker machine yet.

What's up with the b/w photos???
I spent quite a bit of time looking at bread machine cookbooks and this one stood out. I used Kindle Unlimited to be able to really look at recipes and try some from different books and this is the one I wanted to buy a print copy of. The recipes seems to be really great, they are creative and there are many I will actually want to make. I have made the onion bread twice and it's yummy. The problem I have is with the fact that I was sent a book with nice color covers but everything on the inside is black & white. Not even black really, gray and white, poorly done, some images are a wash - like the olive bread. Someone obviously knows little to nothing about converting color images to b/w because these b/w pictures are fair to awful. But why aren't they in color like the Kindle version and the sample pages shown for this print book?I can still use the recipes, obviously, but this bait and switch trickery ticks me off. I'm very visual and the nice images are a big part of what inspired me to choose this book. They enhance the recipes and give me a real idea of what to expect. As far as I'm concerned this book is ruined by the sneaky switch to b/w photos and the very poor conversion from color to b&w. I'm debating about just sending it back and finding something else on principle. Sucks.** UPDATE **I decided to return this book as defective. I really like the sound of some of the recipes but every time I pick it up I think about how dishonest it was to produce the book with b/w photos even though the print book sample is clearly shown with color photos. So I'm back to looking for another bread machine book.
