This little fella does the job and then some, the only thing I noticed is even with a perfectly matched impedance on my cable and duplexer it reads lower than the cutting chart.. If you are cutting this for GMRS don't mount it 30 feet high after you follow the cutting directions, cut it and leave the fiberglass shell off and check SWR then recut if needed again. I had to take it back down off a tower becuase it needed a trim.. I figured it would be close but had a SWR of about 3:1 and that was only 5mhz off the cuts i made.. I think this antenna may have a 3 mhz bandwith not much higher or it will throw off the SWR... All in all is has great gain and very easy to tune up and gets great results!! it is being implemented in the GRMS band and at 75 feet in hilly Kentucky it can hear 3 watt portables with a Motorola SM 50 out about 14 miles... Pretty decent!!

I bought this antenna to install my repeater on a tower. The coverage seems pretty good so far. The instructions for tuning are pretty clear, also nice SWR when i tuned it. The only issue i had is to replace my N connector for a PL259 on my feedline since the antenna has a PL259. Lightweight and pretty confident it will resist the Canadian winters.

This is a good performing little antenna, but heed the directions in that it MUST be tuned to your frequency. The wire elements slide out from the fiberglass tube and are cut to lengths based on a chart. I cut to a lower frequency on the chart and tested with an analyzer, the chart was very close so then I cut to my final frequency. About 10MHz bandwidth is all you should expect, this will not cover amateur 70cm and GMRS very well. If you are experimental and going to use this for a repeater or something it should be able to be cut for downtilt.

The quality of this antenna is good and solid. The packaging could of been better, the box was all beat up and looks like it was re taped in a few spots. There were no instructions included in the package or box so tuning the antenna will be rather challenging.
