Does things a meter cannot do
Unlike a meter, this tool makes a small load. You can test any GFCI by putting between hot and ground. You can know a ground or neutral is bad when a meter will falsely say the wire is good. Meters and tick testers can tell you have a live wire, but I need this to know other wires are good.

This is a nice addition to my multimeter
This is a nice addition to my multimeter. I was having problems with phantom voltages showing up in wire that I believed to be dead. This works to tell you if there is really any power in the lines. My only minor complaint (and it may be a positive for some) is that the leads are way longer than they need to be, and they tangle up in my toolbox easily.
