better than shirataki Noodles
"Finally, a Guilt-Free Noodle I Actually Enjoy!" I’ve always been a noodle lover, it’s my go-to comfort food. But after trying to eat healthier, I had to cut back, and honestly, it was tough. Most “healthy” alternatives didn’t have the right bite or taste... they just didn’t hit the spot. Then I tried these Better Than Noodles, and everything changed. They’re light, have a clean texture, and soak up sauces really well. Whether it's a quick stir-fry or a warm noodle soup, they fit right in. I was surprised by how satisfying they are without feeling heavy afterward. They’ve made it easier for me to stick to balanced meals without giving up the dishes I love. Now, noodles are back in my life just in a better way

I liked them but they didn’t like me
Made these noodles in a stir fry with all kinds of veggies and herbs and peanut sauce. It tasted amazing and the noodles really were like rice noodles I’d order in a restaurant. If I had bothered to google the listed side effects of them, I would have been fair-warned about the impending “Loose stools, bloating and flatulence”. It was a beautiful meal that I even bothered to take a photo of, but followed all too soon by subtle bloating that quickly increased in intensity, that turned uncontrollable, vile, hot farts like you wouldn’t believe. I lit candles all around my house to combat the horrendous smell I couldn’t believe was coming out of me. Then it was just really painful bowel movements for like 4+ hours. I went to bed afraid to move under the blanket holding down all the sins of the Konjac noodle. I’ve never had anything like this happen to me and am still struggling the day after. If you want to try these anyway, take my advice: Enjoy them alone, and maybe don’t buy in bulk like I did. 💁🏼♀️

Amazing! The oat fiber makes all the difference!
I wish I could use neon to draw attention to this delicious pasta. After trying several brands of shirataki noodles sold at the natural food markets in my area—some with tofu and some without—as well as the Miracle brand from Amazon and from ShopRite (you can find it in the natural/organic foods aisle), I stumbled on the Better Than version at an oriental market. I’ve since tried all three kinds I could find—the Noodles (the thickness of angel hair), the Pasta (like spaghetti), and the Rice—and I can’t get enough of them. They’re so much more like real pasta than the other brands! Not gelatinous, translucent, sticky, or rubbery, they come out of the inner bag golden and dense, thanks to the brilliant addition of oat fiber, which also means you’re getting 4 grams of dietary fiber per serving. The product is packaged in very little water, and the fishy aroma some find objectionable is much less noticeable. Just dry fry it, then prepare it as you would normal pasta. My only reservation is that it’s a product of China; I’m not sure I would have tried it if it wasn’t certified USDA organic. So glad I did! Three servings in a package? Bah! Dinner for one is more like it. At 15 calories a serving, who’s counting? If you’re like me—with an almost lifelong avoidance of carbs but a deep love of pasta—you have to try Better Than. It knocks all the other shirataki noodles out of the park. I'm stocking up and buying more to give to friends.

Good For Diabetics, Pre-diabetics and Gluten allergies
Yes, it's expensive, and yes it smells bad when you first open the package, and yes it's a lot like chewing rubber bands. On the other hand, if your a diabetic, or pre-diabetic, which I am, then this is the best alternative to pasta noodles that I've found so far. It's also great for those with gluten allergies. Bottom line gluten free, low calorie, sugar free, and most importantly low carb. A similar serving of my whole grain pasta has 40 grams of carbs vs. 4 grams of carbs for Better Than Noodles. The package came on time, and the packaging itself is excellent. The product is sealed in a plastic bag that comes inside the outer bag which is very sturdy. Expiration date is 1 1/2 to 2 years from purchase date. They smell when you open the inner bag yes, but rinse them really well in cold water before cooking and that smell disappears. I added mine to pasta sauce after boiling for 5 or 6 minutes. I suggest going heavy on the pasta sauce because it's not entirely pleasant eating this product, it's a lot like chewing rubber bands. I ate the entire serving right after cooking it because you don't want to put the leftover noodles in the frig and reheat them later, trust me. Bottom line, gluten free, and only about 10% of the carbs that regular pasta noodles have.

Worried on digestion of these noodles
I’m debating on whether to stop eating this. They have the beat taste and likeness but it passes through my bowels in whole and seems others have the same problem. My wife let some noodles dry out and it had a rubber consistency. Feels and looks like rubberband! She is worried of it being manufactured in China and also counterfeiting on Amazon. Wish our fears or unfounded but we are pausing eating this even though I have 5 more packages!

Pro's and Con's, would buy again
These are amazing in terms of calorie intake. I just started keto and I wondered what I was going to do with my pasta obsession so... decided to try these. I don't know a lot of asian recipes but I know italian recipes so this is what I did: Opened the package. Put them on a strainer under water and moved them around to rinse them. The smell is kind of nasty but once you rinse them the smell is gone. Put them in a hot pan with a bit of olive oil and sprinkled some salt and black pepper on top and moved them around with a spatula to get rid of any liquid. Then used a low carb alfredo sauce with mushrooms and cooked and chopped some bacon on the side. Topped them off with Parmesan cheese. BAM! The texture takes a bit to get used since it feels rubbery but they don't really taste like anything once you cook them with other stuff. All I could taste was bacon, Alfredo sauce, and Parmesan cheese. I found it one of the most satisfying meals I've had since I started keto. I must admit I did get some intestinal cramps later that day but I am not used to having a very high in fiber diet. It is the same type of cramps I've had when eating things high in fiber, like almond meal for example. Also, I should say I ate a whole bag in one sitting so managing your intake on these might make a difference. My bowel movements that night were fantastic though, so there's that. You might want to take it slow with these when you first get them. I've seen a lot of people comment that they made them ill - you might just not have the stomach for it. All in all, I will continue to eat these in moderation and perhaps a bit more once I get used to a high fiber content without the cramps. Their nutritional value is amazing for how satisfying they are. I saw there is a "Better than pasta" brand but I have not tried it. If anyone care to commend I'd love to see a comparison.

So rubbery
I heard from a friend that these were pretty good and that they were super good for you compared to pasta. I was so excited to try them. The first time I made homemade ramen broth with them. When you open the package the fish smell is god awful! I rinsed them really well hoping to get rid of it. They were all sticking together. I then let them simmer in the broth I made and when I went to eat them they were still all stuck together and tasted like I was chewing rubber. It was so bad. Then later that night I started not feeling well (i figured it was because I was just so off out from the texture and smell) but then I read all these reviews with other people have similar stomach problems!! Do not buy these. Just limit yourself with smaller portions of a whole wheat or gluten free pasta. I wish I could get a refund for these awful awful “noodles”

Really Enhancing My Life as a Keto Dieter
I have probably purchased about 6 cases of the pasta, angel hair, and rice at this point. I am on a keto diet and this is my only opportunity to have a LOT of food (I like to eat!) with few calories and almost no carbs. I recommend this to all my keto buddies, including my friend who is recovering from a brain tumor. A few fine points: 1) I have tried other brands, including the 'miracle noodles', and I found them much less pleasant. Miracle noodles became mushy and stuck to the pan at high heat. These hold their form well and have more of a 'doughy' texture. 2) Everyone complains about the smell. Quit it and enjoy the fact that you can actually eat pasta on a no carb diet. 3) I use these to make fried rice, lo mein, ramen, add them to other soup, or add some parmesan, olive oil, and red pepper. I'm including a picture of the ramen i make with these - it's delicious. 4) I find if I heat them over a high heat, using high heat oil (grapeseed or avacado) until they dry up a bit, then add gluten free soy sauce, it coats them nicely. You can even eat them on their own this way for a guilt free late night snack. I know I sound like the ultimate fan boy - please know I've received no free products for this review and that my excitement comes from having lost 30 lbs in the last six months with these as a near daily food (and just walking, no additional exercise). I am happy to share my enthusiasm with the world! (photo recipe is a ramen with Better than Pasta, home-made grass-fed beef bone broth, scallion, mushroom, egg, kimchi (for spice), and a few fried slices of Trader Joes pre-cooked pork belly).

Certainly not better than noodles
Think of eating hard string and this comes close. If you can force them down, they are filling. I’m just stuck with a cupboard load.
