Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works great on my Husqvarna riding lawn mower with 21hp Kohler engine. Easy installation and way cheaper than what the local places wanted to order an OEM one.

Just what I needed to fix my mower. Tracking was not very good. Delivery date changed 3 times including once saying unknown! It seems to be the norm with orders these days! I have 2 other orders out non-amazon with the same issues.

Cranks weaker than the originals also doesn’t even include the two tiny little bits required to install starter, which were lost when My better starter was taken off my mower without my knowledge. Considering these are some Of the the most expensive lawn mower starters on Amazon being manufactured the way they do I am not truly satisfied with the weak mounting bolts, weak starter and lack of hardware for installation.

Kohler courage 19hp in my lawn tractor was cranking very slow and would come to a dead stop on compression. After doing some simple checks I tried a new starter. This ended up being my issue, this starter cranks the motor over as fast as new. used it multiple times over a week and it stated perfectly every time. If your facing a similar issue of slow crank or not enough power to get past the compression when starting this would be a great first step for not too much cost involved!

Works as expected. 50% cheaper than from the local shop. On our 15hp kohler engine it seems the true problem is the "easy start" compression release system. It starts to fail when valves wear. I need to re-adjust valve lifter gaps. Otherwise none of the starter motors can start the engine when it has stopped on the compression cycle.

I spent hours of time messing with my tractor, figured it was the starter so I ordered this one. Threw it on and and with a little engine starter spray she fired up immediately.

The old motor had a dead spot then started heating up the cable then died. This bolted right in just in time for mowing season.
