I need help my door lock turns on and off while we are out of the house does anybody know the reason and how to fix it

The lock itself is very good. It's well built. The downside to this lock is that the Fingerprint scanner works about 20% off the time and if you're fingers are wet, it will work 0% off the time. The other downside is that everything you unlock a door, the lock announces it, saying door is unlocked in a somewhat loud voice. I wish there was a way to shut that off.

If you expectation is to remove an existing door knob and then just install the new components, well that's not going to happen. - For existing door knob installs, be prepared to do some chiseling and also drill 1 additional hole. If you are not good with a chisel, then pay someone else or skip this lock altogether. For me, the value proposition is on the positive side, so I would recommend to others.

The fingerprint feature worked for a week maybe. It's a bit loud when it says "door has been open or door closed". Otherwise it works. I wishi could control it from distance but you have to be near it with your phone to connect.

Felt vulnerable having this as a front door lock since there is no dead bolt! Maybe as a lock on personal office inside a bigger office but not to keep people out of my house.

Fave plate seems to loosen in hot weather on the outside. Sometimes the finger print reader doesn’t read on first try. Alexa, doesn’t really do anything for the door lock.
