My screen has to fit exactly to a specific height, and the stand provides the flexibility to not have it so high. I looked into other stands and the thing I didn’t like was when I tried to shorten them, the screen had to be shoved forward which left no space for my keyboard. This stand is fairly short but I can also make it as short as I need without it being thrust that much forward. It was very easy to install and I loved that it had in addition to the correct screws plus one extra, the screwdriver needed so I didn’t have to hunt one down. The installation instructions were clear because of the pictures. I did get the screws mixed up, but then I specifically looked at the screw numbers listed on the instructions. The cover plate was easily snapped out and snapped back in again. I especially liked how it took a little bit of strength to move the arm, meaning that it won’t slip into another position. If you have trouble moving the arm, it can be loosened. The materials used to make this appear to be very sturdy. It is a very thick plastic or some other like material, and the part that attaches to the back of the monitor is steel. All in all, this is a great stand for my purposes! Of course does not raise or lower, just tilts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid but inconsistent clamping force between 2 purchases *by D***K on December 1, 2025* — Updated review I bought a second one of these as they are perfect for my use case (holding Elektron music gear). The second one that I purchased was much stiffer and the Elektron gear attahced is held firmly in place at any angle - this is essential as they are hands on devices and movement during use is not wanted. So, I decided to look at the first one I purchased and I pulled the whole thing apart. I found the bolts that hold the loose hinge and tightened them. This was not an easy task as they are nestled in between plastic but luckily I had a small enough wrench to get in there. I tightened the bolts and it is now much stiffer. So, I will update my score but it's worth noting the inconsistency between the two stands. What I would also like to add is, these would benefit a lot from a small strip of silicone that would sit between the metal plate and the device you're attaching it to. The metal is sharp and could easily scratch whatever it is that you're attaching. It would be a small addition with a big impact. — Original review There might be a way to adjust this monitor desk stand so it doesn't slowly slide out of position, but out of the box this cannot hold a 3lb piece of gear without sliding downwards. I've looked at the back and there does not seem to be a way to tighten the hinges / bolts (they are hidden behind plastic panels that seem to be sealed). The product listing claims this can hold up to 20lbs.
