One HDMI input no longer works
This HDMI switch is connected to a Vizio 5.1 soundbar. The soundbar is connected to an old Samsung TV with maximum display of 1080p 60hz. The ARC HDMI port on the TV is only 2.1 and not 5.1 surround sound, which is why I bought this HDMI switch.I was using this mainly with a 2017 Nvidia Shield TV. Everyone once in a while I would use it with a Nintendo Switch or PS5. Very rarely used it with Xbox 360 or the gaming laptop.I purchased this in July 2023. About 8 months later, the Shield TV could only output 720p and none of the Amazon Prime contect would play due to HDMI error. After much trouble shooting, it turns out that the HDMI switch the Shield TV was connected to is broken. All the other inputs seem to work fine. For some reason the remote controller on the soundbar's volume down button also changes the HDMI switch input. Also the HDMI switch's remote could control the soundbar's volume down.I ended up hiding the HDMI switch so the remotes IR blasters don't reach it.Auto swich to the next HDMI input works sometimes, but not all the time. I have to frequently press the "switch" button to change the input when it doesn't auto switch.EDIT: The seller offered me a refund. I am changing the 3 stars to 5 stars for their great customer service. I forgot to mention in my original review that I eventually swapped the Shield TV input with the Nintendo Switch input and that's how I realized that one of the HDMI inputs didn't work. The Shield TV worked fine and the Nintendo Switch could not output a signal to the TV, even at 720p. I then tried to use my laptop with that input and it could do 1080p at 60hz, but there was no audio. The laptop video and audio work fine when using a different input.

Works well ... but I lost power for 18 hours
Got the unit in the post in good condition, excitedly went to install it. Just about the time I finished running the last HDMI, I was plugging in the power connector ... and my whole house goes dark ...I don't know if everyone but me knows this already ... but ... without electricity, this unit is ... less than useful to its full potential.I thought, "well, if plugging it in made the lights go out ... perhaps unplugging the unit will make them come on again." Apparently not.Just to be sure I tried several times, but to no avail. However, 18 hours later (and many many plug / unplug cycles) it finally worked and electricity was restored.Since then the unit has worked flawlessly ... 4 stars.*UPDATE* My wife says it deserves 5 stars ... so 5 IT IS!

6 months in, dead port 3
EDIT:Following my issue, the seller offered to replace or refund my broken device which was certainly a good faith gesture that I appreciate. Bumping my review up to 4 stars for service and I will simply say there's a possibility you'll get a totally fine unit that works great and may last longer, and if not, they may work with you on replacing it but your mileage may vary.I have enjoyed this product for its ease of use but unfortunately after much troubleshooting (6months into owning it) I have determined that Input 3 is dead. It recognizes when a signal is coming through but never displays a picture. Tested with multiple HDMI cables and both a Nintendo Switch and Nvidia Shield.I also think that Input 5 (the front one) may also be dead but have yet to test extensively. I'm disappointed in the longevity of the device.

Does not work on Hisense U8H TV
I have a brand new 65" Hisense U8H TV with all the gaming bells and whistles one could want. Didn't have a problem with my old switch but that one could only output at 60hz. This one specifically states it handles 120hz at 4k. I bought new HDMI cables that are said to transmit at 120hz in 4k. I plugged my Xbox Series X into the switch with the new HDMI cable as well as connecting the HDMI Out on the switch to a 4k 120hz input on the TV with the new HDMI cable as well. The home screen of the Xbox runs fine. But when you start a game meant to run with 120hz refresh rate, everything stutters and simply won't show a stable image. If I lower the capabilities of the TV input to only allow 60hz at 4k, everything works fine. I think this product is a dud. I'd look elsewhere for a better quality switch.
