Ball(R) Wide Mouth Storage Jar-Half Gallon, Clear

Nice thick glass along with an aesthetically pleasing rustic design. The lid has a nice silicone seal that really keeps out air and moisture. We bought two of them and use one for teabags and the other for coffee pods. Highly recommend.

This this jar, perfect for dry good storage or making into a decorative item, do note that this jar lid does not screw on it pulls off and pushes down the large sea makes it kind of hard hit you can remove that to make the removing of the lid easier, for me this won’t matter as I will be using my jar to store crystal light single drink sticks and other jar for items like truLemon packets …. Be will ordering another jar soon.

I use this for my sourdough ferment and it works well.

I purchased two of these Ball storage jars. They are pretty but they ARE NOT very functional. First off, this lid does not screw off/on. There’s an inside silicone type sleeve that holds the lid in place. This silicone sleeve holds too well. It’s extremely hard to get the lid off. Second, the lid is so large, people with smaller hands have a difficult time just reaching across the diameter (almost 5”) to get a good grip. I would not recommend, had I known I’d keep looking for something else.

I remove the plastic lid ring so the seal isn't a tight fit, and then this jar is perfect for a sourdough starter. Not easily tipped over, clear to see the starter, and a wide mouth for easy stirring. Love it!
