It's so simple, plug the adapter in to main unit attach the negative/positive to your battery and viola. Works flawlessly every time. The only cons, there is a small piece of flexible plastics over the ports for the attachment and those little plastic thingys are impossible for me to lift. I cut that off with a blade. The other thing is I haven't gotten it to charge with another cord, which is odd. The supplied cord to charge the unit in a wall outlet is maybe half a foot long, kind of a pia so make sure you don't loose it.
