## Overview

Liquid Rubber L R RV Roof Solar Reflective Sealant is a 1-gallon, water-based coating designed to create a thick, waterproof membrane on RV roofs and various surfaces. It applies easily like paint, cures within 24-48 hours, and is environmentally friendly with zero VOCs. Ideal for protecting and rejuvenating RVs, campers, trailers, and more, it offers broad compatibility and durable weather resistance.

## Description

Liquid Rubber RV Roof Coating/Sealant is a liquid that cures into a waterproof membrane. It can be used on all types of RV roofs, campers, trailers, mobile homes and more. It is environmentally friendly, containing no Solvents, or VOC's. Ensure a clean, dry surface. Use Acetone as a conditioner on EPDM roofs. Use EPDM Primer on EPDM Roofs. EPDM is a rubber sheet membrane. Use LIQUID RUBBER SEAM TAPE to bridge seams, joints, vents, protrusions to create a long lasting repair or rejuvenation. Apply when temperature is above 50F/10C. Apply to a dry surface, that is free of anything that would hinder adhesion. Typically cures within 24-48 hrs. Do not freeze. Store in a warm area. Do not apply in wet conditions or if rain is forecasted within 24 hrs. Coverage - Apply a minimum final thickness of a 1 gallon/50 sq ft (4.65 sq m). It should require around 2-3 heavy coats. One 5 gallon pail of RV Roof Coating will coat RVs up to 30 feet. Be sure to use up all material. Apply next coat when dry to touch and nothing is wet underneath; Tacky is okay. Generally 6-8 hrs between heavy coats. Amounts vary depending on surface roughness. If you have dipping or ponding areas, apply a detail coat to the area prior to full application. Use all material up to achieve a long lasting membrane. Avoid hot, direct, intense sunlight during application. Remove Painters Tape while still wet. Clean Up - Use soap and water or mineral oil to clean skin.

Review: Easy to apply, just like "brushing on rubber." I used this on my 2008 5th wheel roof seams. The only thing I didn't like is the way I applied it...and that shouldn't reflect on the product. I needed to put on multiple coats. Where I laid it on 'thick' by dabbing the paint brush worked awesome. Sticks like glue, and I'm not worrying about the original cracked roof caulk anymore !! Where you brush it--it stays put. It doesn't run easily and will bridge 1/8 cracks and gaps well.

**Q: Will this work on a fiberglass popup teailer roof?**

Yes. Liquid Rubber RV Roof Coating can be applied to most fiberglass surfaces.
You will also need Liquid Rubber Multi-Purpose Primer and Liquid Rubber Seam Tape to bond and for a complete system.
To bond to fiberglass you will need to;
Be sure there are no exposed fibers. 
Fibers protruding from your coating will act as a conduit for water.
Make any necessary fiberglass repairs prior to installation of your Liquid Rubber solution.
- scuff the surface to remove all shine and increase surface profile.
- clean with a mild detergent and water, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely.
- give the surface a wipe with a white rag that has been dampened with acetone.
- prime the surface with Liquid Rubber Multi-Purpose Primer.
- apply seam tape and RV Roof Coating as per normal procedures.

Easy to apply, just like "brushing on rubber." I used this on my 2008 5th wheel roof seams. The only thing I didn't like is the way I applied it...and that shouldn't reflect on the product. I needed to put on multiple coats. Where I laid it on 'thick' by dabbing the paint brush worked awesome. Sticks like glue, and I'm not worrying about the original cracked roof caulk anymore !! Where you brush it--it stays put. It doesn't run easily and will bridge 1/8 cracks and gaps well.

Had a small leak on a flat aluminum travel trailer roof which required removing the ceiling and insulation inside to find it. Could not find it from the roof but after removing the ceiling and insulation, where it leaked, could see five small pin holes from the sun shining in from them. After reading reviews for these type of products to be used as a water sealant, decided on this brand for price, ease of application and discovered it spreads so smoothly was able to do three applications for an area that the container said would do only one application. There is a huge benefit to multiple thin applications versus one and some draw backs but multiple has the advantage of being more durable. Which I inadvertently had to test since the drainage pattern from the condensation from the air conditioner had changed, needed to lower a dam so used a hammer to lower it. Fully expected the material to pull away from the surface after the pounding but it remained adhered to the roof surface, which could have something to do with the primer too but nice to know it can take a beating and not flack. But the real surprise, and still find unbelievable, is the aluminum temperature on the underside (have not put insulation or ceiling material back) measures, using my Etekcity Infrared Thermometer, as the same temperature as the thermometer in the shade, when the roof is in full sun This aluminum roof without the product and only an inside reading at the ceiling, BEFORE, with insulation in between it measured 10 degrees hotter. Also took a couple measurements before while the ceiling was open with just bare underside of the aluminum in full sun on a cool spring day showed the underside of the aluminum was 100 degrees, while outside temperatures were 65 degrees. The bare aluminum is gathering heat and conducting it Here is the part which is unbelievable, and could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on winter or summer, measured the temperature of the roof in the evening after the sun has gone down, air temperature was 64 degrees, the roof temperature with this product, no sun light on it, showed all surface area measured 6 to 8 degrees COOLER than the surrounding air. It does not absorb the heat and radiates it back. I do not know all the science involved only know what I measured, and expecting a substantial savings in air conditioning cost This is the only product of this type have any knowledge but if they all work like this one everyone needs to put it on their roof, just know this one seems to be a miracle product, so highly recommend it.
