Door to Door Quilts: Second Novel in the Door County Quilts Series

I liked this a little better than the first one in the series. I have liked books about quilters in the past and looked forward to this series, so I purchased the first and second books. This second one was a little more entertaining. I am sort of put off by the religious references, and I don't think I will be reading any more of the series. I don't much care for the day to day minutia of the main character's life. I did enjoy how their quilt show was put together. Also, each book has given a fairly detailed "glossary" of the main characters, and what I would like more is a glossary of the quilt types; e.g., what is a barn quilt, what is a Gee's Bend quilt, etc.

Interesting book seriesExcitingA friend loaned me a paperback of the first book in this series. After finishing it, I just had to know what was going to happen in book 2 and book, so I purchased them.

A fun book, definitely a “fluffy” read. Claire and her friends are certainly busy with all their projects and activities. This book is great to read for pure entertainment. The descriptions of all the places in door county make me want to visit.

I loved it

The introduction of Puff the cat was well done, quite unique. However, I was disappointed that Puff who was always there in the first half of the book, story, was left out. I had looked forward to the interaction in the evening and early morning that Claire had with Puff. Enjoyed the book, but the introduction of the pet ended and was such a great side story.

This book made me want to get On a plane and travel to Door County. It also inspired me to pick up my quilting & get it done. Thank you Ann Hazelwood for sharing the written word with us and I look forward to her next book.

Occasionally it is so nice to read a book that is not discomforting or frightening. If that is the type of book you are in luck ~ cause this is it.
