Rugged and tough.

My wife and I love this case. We got the lid insert for it also. Want to leave a review for sometime because when we were looking for a hard case we looked everywhere to try and find exactly how much gear would fit in this case since no place within 100 miles carried this size. When we got it, realized was smaller then what we thought it would have been. So pictured is all the gear that we were able to get in it, and i will say it was a tight fit.But able to squeeze in:4 DSLR bodies: 2-6Ds 1-5D3 1-7D7 lens: Sigma 50 1.4, Canon 50 1.8, Canon 85 1.8, Sigma 105, Canon 24-70, Canon 24-105, Canon 70-200Lid inserthand full of pc sync cords,Extra batteriesLens cleaning kit,walkie talkie ear piecesgels and camp lights.

These things are virtually indestructible.Your gear is safe inside, even in extreme weather or if the case takes a beating.I use this 1610 case with padded dividers for video and photo equipment. It's perfect for the job and holds a lot of gear.This size is too large for a carry on with most (or maybe all) airlines. If you need a carry on size, go with the 1510 which is also an excellent case but slightly smaller -  Pelican 1510-004-110 Case with Padded Dividers, Black The padded divider system is awesome, it can be customized to fit the specific combination of gear you are carrying. Simply detach the Velcro pieces and re-attach them where needed, it's very easy and there is no messy cutting required like the foam models.Possible downside to this case is that it's very heavy, even when empty. The rollers are definitely required to lug this thing around full of gear.I'm very happy with all my pelican cases, they may be a bit expensive but they will last forever. Saved up to get this fantastic case...and worth the wait! You have to just come to the realization that you have expensive gear, do you want to protect it with cloth during travel from shoot to shoot or would you like to have piece of mind that your gear is protected. Just buy one!
