Sounds completely different than any other V-Moda headphones
These are a completely different sounding set of cans than any previous V-Moda models, sound signature is different. I have the Crossfade Wireless 2 Codex, Crossfade Wireless, M-100, XS, and I think since Roland took over they tuned these headphones to sound more like Roland headphones than of V-Modas. Sound is still very good though, frequency is flat across the board and you can download the app and adjust the equalizer to your liking. Bass is deep, tight and punchy by default, punchier than any of the previous models. To me, these sound like they brought the lows, mids and highs to an even level, and some people may not like this sound, but as mentioned it all can be changed and tweaked in the app. One thing I don't know is if these M-200 ANC's sound anything like the original M-200 wired ones, I doubt it though since the ANC uses smaller 40mm drivers and the original uses 50mm. For anyone who's a big V-Moda fan and owned a few pairs of other model V-Modas and looking to get these, just letting you know you'll be in for a surprise as these don't have that V-Moda signature sound that we're used to, but they're still really good. The noise cancelling is good, but not the best out there. They do a fairly decent job in blocking out external noise, but if you're walking down the street and someone drives past you with engine revving high then you could still hear it. I have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4's, which have much better noise cancelling, the M-200 ANC's are nowhere near as good. These are very comfortable and well built, I could wear them all throughout work without any fatigue or discomfort, and they're very strong and sturdy. I think they have better construction than any previous models. One thing that sucks is the volume control buttons placement on the top of the right earcup, especially the button to lower the volume. It's a bit tight and awkward to get to, so you might have to tilt the ear cup outwards slightly to access volume lowering button. The app could definitely use some work. As of this writing, there's and issue with updating the headphone firmware, even though you've updated it, when you go back it'll still say the firmware is ready to be updated, no matter how many times you do it. I also found that updating the firmware from the app has caused issues later with trying to reconnect the headphones, so I just unpaired and repaired them and left the firmware settings alone (I'm gonna wait till they come out with one that actually works), and everything works fine. Overall, I think these are a great set of cans

Bought for noise cancelling feature at work
These things are absolute tanks and can take a beating. Noise cancelling helps but is somewhat underwhelming especially with high pitched noises there is definitely some bleed through when not using the N.C. Seem to be made for someone with a larger head. I have mine to smallest adjustment. Having used crossfade2s for the past few years, I can honestly say that if you do not need noise cancelling then you should just get crossfade2s. Smaller cans with tighter/ more comfortable fit and better sound.

Get the Crossfade Wireless Codex or any other.
I didn't want to compare it with other noise cancelling headphones because I thought NC was a nice added feature to what I thought was going to be excellent sound quality; but after a few days using them, I had to send them back. For the $450 I paid I thought these were going to sound amazing, since I had the original Crossfade Wireless and they were just awesome. I sold them after five years and they still looked brand new. Sound Quality: The sound in these ones is not bad. It is just not so good. To me they have a high emphasis on treble and mids, leaving the highs almost down the spectrum. This was particularly noticeable during bluetooth usage, when wired the highs came up a little bit, but still was very warm sounding. Vocals were excellent, both male and female were very clear at all times. I paired it with my trusted Helm Bolt portable DAC/AMP and the sound was increased tenfold. It revitalized all frequencies and they sound awesome, but the lows were still falling behind the mids and highs. Noice cancellation: This feature on these headphones is, I am sorry, a gimmick. I never knew really when it was on or off, and when I knew it was on, it was almost doing nothing. Unless I was already in a relatively quiet room, the noise of pretty much anything was still coming through. I thought it would have been nice to have some NC on a V-Moda product even if was not going to compete against Sony's 1000X series, Bose or Apple or any other, but that is so unnoticeably present turned to be a feature I did not use. So in the end I was left with Bluetooth headphones I was using wired to improve the sound quality via my portable DAC/AMP and no noise cancellation. At this point I thought I should have bought the V-Moda M200 wired or straight up a Focal or HiFiMan at the same price point. Durability: As a V-Moda product I can say they are still the most durable pair of headphones I have had, they feel indestructible and that was a selling point for me because at work I can use them when working outside and I sometimes hit them with something, I didn't want to break the Sony XM4, the V-Moda are top notch in durability. Would I recommend these headphones? I would say, get the free ride from V-Moda's website first. They allow you to use them for sixty days and if you don't like them you can return them, or buy them here in Amazon and as well, return them if you don't like them. What I hear is not what you hear, to me they sound good, not great, to me they do sound like $500 headphones and the NC is not at all at that price range either. I honestly would not recommend them at this price when you can buy the Crossfade Wireless Codex Edition for like two hundred bucks less and get impressive sound (or that is what I heard, I didn't try them), or get some other brand you like depending on what you want them for. If you want NC, get Sony XM4 or XM5, if you just care about sound quality, get Focal or HiFiMan or Sennheiser.

Modern Audiophile Headphones
I’ve had these M-200ANC’s for a few days, and I am LOVING them. LOV.ING.THEM. I wanted to update my headphones, on paper these had all the options I was looking for- hi-res audio when wired, Bluetooth for tooling around, and noise canceling. The packaging is really nice, definitely get a premium feeling when you open the box. Comes with a clamshell carrying case, charging cable, carabiner for the case and an audio cable. These headphones have over-performed in every situation I’ve used them for: Music- listening to .wav files from my computer, without adjusting the EQ in the app, the freq response is very flat, allows you to hear the music the way it was intended. I did use the app to bump a few freq for my personal preference, but love that I can use these as a reference headphone if I need to. With .wav files, sounded almost exactly the same over Bluetooth. The Noise Canceling didn’t affect the music as far as I could tell, just sucked you in as Noise Canceling will. Also plugged directly into my synth, sounded awesome. The modeled pianos sounded rich and deep on the low end, and tinkly on the high end. Heavy synth patches were full and all frequencies were represented. Gaming- using with Xbox Series X and the Boom Pro mic, they sound ridiculous! Could hear every detail in both Halo and AC Valhalla. Very comfortable for long gaming sessions too. The ear cups fit my ears perfectly and the memory foam and head band are very comfortable. WFH- used them the last 2 days on all my video calls. Was able to easily connect them via Bluetooth to my MacBook, and use them wirelessly for both voice and audio in Zoom, wasn’t able to figure out how to set MS Teams up to use them as a source, but that’s a Teams thing. The built in mic is great if you’re just participating, if I’m presenting I’d probably plug in the Boom Pro. Noise Canceling- I only have some aviation headphones from a well-known manufacturer, there was no difference using just the active noise canceling. Both worked equally as well at noise canceling. You can also set how much noise canceling you want via the app, a really useful feature! One really cool feature (that has already come in handy a few times) is you can touch the bottom of the left ear cup and it will turn off the ANC so you can hear someone talking to you. Overall, I am extremely pleased with these headphones. Now all I need to do is figure out how I want to customize them aesthetically! Pros- Audiophile sound quality Comfortable and durable Customizable- both the sound profile via the Tuning app (I used iOS) for EQ and Noise Canceling levels, and aesthetically to make them your own Great for a variety of uses- music, production, WFH, travel Carrying case Immortal Life Warranty Make great ear muffs for those faux spring blizzards Cons- No included ¼” adapter Sometimes it sounds like your voice is distorting when you use both the Boom Pro and the built in mic. I’ve been told that my voice is not distorting on the receiving end

Terrible. Muddy audio, awkwardly stiff buttons, super shallow ear cups
Not sure if I got a bad pair or if this is just how it sounds (this is the first V-Moda I've ever tried), but this doesn't even compete with a $150 pair of wired headphones. Absolutely not worth the price. Pros: - Feels durable, and I do love how compact they fold up into their case. That's pretty impressive, and far better than most. - Very stable on my head, among the best I've tried. Weight and grip is nicely spread around, rather than just at one or two points. - Trivially-replaced earpads. I love these magnetic setups, no more messing with and possibly breaking clips. They're totally stable too, no shifting and no fear of them falling out. Very nice. Cons: - I vastly prefer buttons over touch (touch can be nice, but it has issues in so many situations), but not when they're like this. All three of the top buttons are so stiff that they're awkward to use. You absolutely have to brace the bottom of the headphones with your thumb... but there's not an easy way to do that due to the angled sides, and the buttons are half covered by the hinge. And then my volume-down is even stiffer and barely clicks so it's hard to tell when it actually worked or not. Not *quite* the worst headset buttons I've tried, but trying hard to dig down to that level. - Ear cups are *shockingly* shallow. By far the shallowest headphones I've tried. My ears are roughly normal, maybe a bit large (I barely touch the back on some headphones, not at all on others), and I'm absolutely bottoming out in these. The circumference is plenty large, and the pads are comfortable and *trivial* to replace (yay!), but if your ears aren't *completely* flat against your head, you'll get squashed. I gather v-moda has had this complaint on other sets, but I am truly stunned by how much shallower they are than any other pair I've tried. - Noise canceling is pretty much only low frequencies, and at higher levels has more white noise than any other (expensive) pair I've tried so far. It does remove low mechanical sounds pretty well though. It's roughly on par with other non-Bose/Sony pairs: somewhat effective, but definitely not as good, which is expected. These do have some unique weirdness though, e.g. when I touch or shift the headset around at all, one or both ears will get... murky? sound underwater? for about a second, and then it'll clear up. I'm not sure if this is a failed attempt at letting me hear my surroundings (it's definitely not reliable, if that's the goal), or if it's a recalibration phase of some kind. But since it's fairly quick it's mostly just weird, I don't think I'd actually be bothered by it. - Audio at normal volumes is muddy, vocals and instruments are mushed together, and only a mediocre sound-stage. Every other $300+ bluetooth headset I've tried has been significantly, *immediately obviously* better here. At mid-high volume, where these sound best, they still sound noticeably worse than my 15 year old $200 headphones. Master & Dynamic MW65 and Shure Aonic 50 were FAR better here, being roughly equal to my wired pair, or better in some areas. - Audio changes *dramatically* as volume changes. When turned up to comfortably-loud, bass boosts a lot (and stays punchy), muddiness improves, but holy cow the balance is thrown WAY off and they sound absolutely nothing like what they did at lower volumes. This is true for many headphones to some degree, but usually you have to go up to uncomfortably-loud for a "large" change. Here, there's a *dramatic* change just between two volume notches at normal volumes, it's like nothing I've ever heard before. I'm pretty surprised, tbh. For the price I expected something at least competitive with the 1000XM4 in audio terms, but it's not even close.

Best sounding phones I’ve ever owned.
Started with fantastic packaging. Felt like a premium product. The carrying case was very sleek looking and had a protective hard shell. The phones look awesome and felt really comfortable on my head. Once paired up with my iPhone the ANC’s sounded great right out of the box but once I connected up with the VModa app I really dialed in the EQ for my tastes. The app is very cool. Noise cancelling had no negative effect on the sound quality. Love them!!!

I am impressed!!!
Audio quality is fantastic, exactly what I’ve come to expect from VModa products. The noise canceling function is excellent and the voice pass through is mind blowing. Purchased these as a gift. Now I’m going to have to buy a set for myself.😁

Do not purchase the XL Cushions as noted "Buy It With" section
Head phones are OK at best - definitely not worth the cost. I purchased the XL Cushions and BoomPro Mic as noted in the "Buy It With" section. The XL Cushions DO NOT FIT THE CURRENT MODEL V_MODA M-200 ANC Headphones. The newest Headphone have a magnetic attachment with two guiding studs (see image). The XL Cushions sent by Amazon are the old "Hook Attachment" and do not fit the new Headphones. Contacting V-MODA response: "As the M-200 is still a fairly recent release, it will take a minute for them to have the same level of accessories available as we have for our Crossfade series. To be the first to know about any new accessories, we’d recommend signing up to the V-MODA newsletter." No mention of a replacement - tough luck!

Excellent sound and build quality. Comfortable. Annoying bluetooth connection
Overall: I am happy with these headphones. They're quite a bit heavier than something like the Sony ANC headphones, which feel less durable. Flimsy feeling vs heavier, that is a personal choice. Sound wise are excellent imo, good balanced headphones, tight thumpy bass and the highs are not ice-picky. I'm not an audiophile but definitely picky and have returned expensive headphones before. There are annoyances with the bluetooth and ANC, but I feel like the sound and build quality make up for it. They also fold down quite well and come with a nice hard case. It's difficult to find headphones that are comfortable with glasses, and these fit well, maybe a bit tight at first.

All out PREMIUM
Just WOW. The sound quality is amazing! Roland got the sound signature perfect. The EQ in the app is great. It's perfect across the range. I love these. I don't usually leave feedback but on this occasion I had too. Build quality is great, the fit perfectly too. I'm having some shields made to personalise these cans. You won't regret buying them!
