I love this light.
It's pricey, but this is the perfect EDC light. Going on five years now with this in my pocket daily. The three modes are set up well. Low works great for being more discreet in indoor dark spaces or upclose in your lap sorts things. Medium is perfect for almost almost all other tasks. High is for when you wanna light up the whole back yard! Switching modes is easy and intuitive. The tactical momentary tail button is cool if you are into that sort of thing too.The Maxvision beam is very wide. It throws light everywhere. This is normally a good thing, but there are times when I wish the pattern was a bit tighter. The pocket clip works very well going into and out of the pocket. In the past I always liked a bezel down orientation, but on this light I carry it bezel up. This allows it to be clipped to bill of a hat. Very handy!Battery life has been excellent for me, but I rarely run it on high output. I charge it less than once a month. The battery life indicator isnt super well done though. It's lets you know when it's almost dead, but by then, the high setting has already refused to engage.Durability appears to be excellent. Mine has been dropped on concrete on many occasions.About a year ago though, it started acting funny. Modes wouldnt stay engaged, kinda had a mind of it's own. Then I noticed some moisture in the emitter. Sent it to SureFire. They fixed it for just the cost of sending it in. Replaced the entire bezel end too.SureFire does warranty the battery, but only for like two years. I know that eventually the battery will fail to hold a decent charge, but by then I will have gotten my money's worth. I will happily pay them to replace it though if they are willing.

Great Light Easy to Carry
I have carried this light for 4 or 5 months now, and the light works well for low light, bright light and extreme bright light use. I carry this light everyday. This light is very durable, easy to use, easy to program and also features a strobe and two power buttons one button is for intermittent use and makes it easy and quick to use. Great value!

Expensive, but amazing, EDC flashlight
Everyone knows that Surefire makes bombproof lights that aren't cheap. This light is no exception. Decent (but not amazing) battery life, a great beam pattern for EDC use(lots of flood, but with enough of a hotspot to reach out some), 3 brightness levels that make the light useful in just about every EDC type situation, a well thought out user interface, great pocket clip that's reversable, and it has an amazing form factor. Seriously, thanks to it's "flat" form factor I don't even notice it's in my pocket. On high, it puts out a legit 1000 lumens. Which is plenty to disrupt someone's vision and does a great job of lighting up your surroundings. The low setting of 25 lumens is great for basic everyday tasks, and the 300 lumen medium setting is a well thought out middle level of light that's more useful than I gave it credit for.If you can afford one, this is the best EDC light I'm aware of. Other lights may claim to be brighter, but for EDC use I don't need that. Plus all those brighter lights are not going to be as well built as a Surefire. I've accidently put Surefire flashlights in the washing machine and dryer, and they still work...try that with other brands. If you don't want to spend this much on a light (and I can't blame you), take a look at the Streamlight Macrostream for a pretty decent alternative that's much more affordable.
