VX5000 Steam Cleaner and Steam Mop

I bought this steamer to reduce and possibly eliminate the need to use toxic chemicals when cleaning around the house and car. Since my purchase, I've used it on a regular basis. Here are my observations.Pros- It is durable; extremely durable. Although the accessories and wand are plastic, they are commercial grade plastic and feel indestructible. The unit itself is a tank.- Great for mopping. I use this to mop the floor and it cut the time and labor in half. It leaves floors like-new without residue and clean/dry fast.- Great stain and odor removal. I used this to detail the interior of my car. It easily removed stains from the seats and left the interior looking new again. No chemicals used at all.- Although it takes time to warm up and build pressure, this steamer is great at not having to be refilled often. I mopped the house three times in one week on one tank. My house is over 2,000 sqft.Cons- The steam is warm when certain attachments are used. The only time I've been able to get 300+ degrees temperature is when the mop head attachment is on and when there is no attachment on the wand itself. All other accessories included in the box reduces the temperature to just warm air. It doesn't make any sense to me.- The power cord could be longer- It takes every bit of 15 to 20 minutes to warm up and build pressure. That's a long time.- It drops pressure quickOverall, given what I use it for—mopping, light cleaning and personal auto detailing, I would purchase this steamer again. It does save time and cleans extremely well with no effort.

Works wonderful! Everything I need it to be

I researched extensively (Dupree, Vapor Chief, Ladybug, Avanti) and compared warranties and specifications. The product support, power, and versatility of this unit were a winning combination.Build quality of the unit and accessories is tank-like, and all of the components / accessories are of noticeably higher quality than your typical big-box power tool. There are included snap-on widgets for steaming everything imaginable, from garments to grout to glass, and massively long hoses and cords. The instructions were excellent, and even included a DVD that I haven't yet watched (no DVD player!).When the unit arrived, I filled it with distilled water and it pressurized to 4 bars -- less than I'd hoped for. I found some photos and instructions on a detailers forum describing some adjustments, and now the steam pressure reaches just north of 5 bars, around 75-80 psi. I suggest contacting the maker before attempting anything like that.When working with superheated steam, and abundance of caution and personal protective gear, including heavy silicone gloves, are a must as far as I'm concerned.

Never write a review, but given that I wasted nearly a thousand dollars on a piece of equipment that didn't work I figured someone could use this feedback before buying.When I got my steamer it looked great, I did my extensive research that I always do before buying any product. I mean I could go for weeks before I buy something. Anyways i let the unit heat up and got the green light to turn on, sureenough when I let it blow steam I could put my hand right in front and no steam would cone out. If anything it was warm and that is "if that". Not a good experience, waiting to get a replacement now.

I love this steamer! I had tile grout that I have been scrubbing my fingers to the bone and could not get it clean with brushes and cleaner. The steamer worked incredible and the grout looks better than I ever remember. I had a few questions I called the 800 number and an actual human on the phone and within minutes answered my questions and had me using my machine even better than I thought was possible.

The machine itself is awesome while it works...But as a business owner the customer service was sadly Poor!When I attempted to reach out to the seller for help concerning an issue I was having getting the high steam option to work properly after about 8 months, I was told that I needed to find another way to attempt to reach them with my concerns. I was very upset seeing as how the machine cost almost $1000 dollars. The customer service makes me want to avoid this seller altogether. I would gladly change my review if someone cared enough to address my conern.

It’s perfect and I love it

I have used a MC 1275 & MC 1385 and both performed very well.The VX5000 may last longer but the weight & price for me is not worth it.Performance did not seem much better compared to the MC 1385 steam cleaner.I use the MC 1275 more while this one will sit as a back up if needed.
