Should have bought this one first but went with the 'trusted' Scosche name brand instead. My mistake. This one is much better! I put a 3-star review on the Scosche because I figured if I "didn't like it" I would have sent it back. I missed the Amazon.com return policy window to return it, so I'm stuck with the Scosche. I'll keep it as a backup I suppose. $22, oh well... "It's okay" is better. The Scosche does work, but not properly. I bought CableJive's t as a replacement before I planned on returning the Scosche one. CableJive's is far superior and they are priced about the same. Scosche-massive plastic housing, much bigger than it needs to be. I have a thin silicone case on my iPod touch, that does not obstruct the dock connector (normal cords work just fine), but the plastic housing on this is definitely oversize for what it needs to be, so it won't work even with this cheap thin case. I can pull the case out of the way every time but that's ridiculous. The locking 'teeth' on the Scosche also aren't very strong/springy so it can fall out, which isn't good because as bulky as it is, it can get knocked loose easily. The CableJive solves both these issues. The housing is smaller everywhere, especially where it plugs into the iPod, it necks down to the size of an original Apple cable so it will work with any case that works with an Apple cable. The locking teeth of the CableJive were much stronger. Also being a smaller housing might help but it definitely stays in there better. Biggest downside is that when this was plugged in, and plugged into an iPod, it made noise. The audio coming through the speakers was fine - the device itself made noise. Enough where when it was sitting on the passenger seat of my vehicle, I could hear it. Hold it up to your ear and you can hear crackling/hissing/popping noises. iPod worked and charged fine. Audio was clear. But the device itself was noisy. CableJive - no issue with noise. The micro-USB input is neat...because if you don't have an iPod charging cord with you, but you have this, you can use the same cord to charge your iPod and your micro USB phone. I can see this being a good thing for travelers who want to pack light.

J'ai dans ma voiture un vieux système alpine qui était sorti aux début du mp3 auquel j'ai du adjoindre un boitier Alpine pour y connecter mon iphone.Problème, depuis toujours ce système ne charge pas mon iphone, ce qui peut être problématique lors de longs déplacement.Grâce a cet adaptateur mon Iphone 4s lit comme d'habiture ma musique sur mon autoradio, mais il charge enfin!

Aunque el resutado, una vez acoplado al iPod, es un poco aparatoso (pues al "CableJive dockStubz" le tengo conectada a su vez un transmisor Bluetooth como "salida" para un altavoz inalámbrico). Esta configuración tan rara me permite cargar el iPod mediante el micro usb... Que es justo lo que necesito,.... Buena comprar para usar viejos dispositivos en los tiempos que corren.

Ich habe mir das Teil gekauft, da ich eine alte Anlage habe, und einen neueren Ipod. Der Ipod pass auf die Anlage, diese spielt Tracks auch ab, läd ihn aber nicht. Nachteil war bisher, dass der Ipod innerhalb von wenigen Stunden entladen war. Dank dieses Adapters, habe ich das Problem nicht mehr. Durch diesen Adapter wir mein Ipod gelade, während er spielt und nicht entladen, während er auf der Anlage steht. Super Teil, bin zufrieden.
