Creative Haven Entangled Dragonflies Coloring Book (Adult Coloring Books: Insects) [Porter, Dr. Angela] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Creative Haven Entangled Dragonflies Coloring Book (Adult Coloring Books: Insects) Review: 31 Beautiful, Detailed and Intricate Dragonfly designs by Dr. Angela Porter โ printed on one side of the page - I love coloring Angela Porter's designs. I have them in another Creative Haven book โEntangledโ and in several others by another publisher. Her designs are always beautiful and involved and a real pleasure to color. As I also love to color dragonflies, this book was a must have for me. There are 31 different dragonfly designs. I like them all so it was hard to decide which one to color for my first project. Once I made my decision, I knew that I wanted to use a variety of alcohol-based markers to get a big pop of color. I'll include a picture of the finished project along with the two colored samples from the book as well. I'll add more photos as I finish projects in the future. This is what I found in going through this coloring book: 31 Detailed and Intricate Dragonfly Designs Printed on one side of white page Page is white, slightly rough, and perforated Glue Bound Designs stop before the perforation Alcohol and water based markers bleed through to some degree Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the page Coloring pencils work well with this standard Creative Haven paper. Soft lead lays down good color, layers and blends well. Hard lead pencils leave dents on the back of the page. I recommend either removing the coloring page from the book to color it or if you are keeping the book together, the use of a blotter page under the page you are working on, regardless of coloring medium you use. That way you can keep the pages below free from seeping ink or marring dents. Review: Beautiful, magical, fantastic! - I'll be honest: I haven't actually started coloring yet. I wasn't satisfied with the markers I had available for this book, so I put a set of gel pens on order. But!!! It should say a lot about my opinion of the artwork that my response to it was "needs prettier markers than I've got." The artwork in this book is clean, crisp, and bold; even in black and white the dragonflies seem to leap right off the page, and I can't wait to see what they look like in full color. It's not fully symmetrical, which adds to the charm--nature isn't really symmetrical, either. I've reviewed coloring books before where lack of symmetry was handled poorly and sloppily; this looks more like the artist almost did it on purpose to mimic real life. The paper is high quality, and each page is printed on one side and perforated for easy removal and display. Just the anticipation is a treat--putting the pen to the page is going to be awesome!

A FANTASTIC book!!!!
I have just finished my 2nd page from this book and I love it!!! I have Entangled and loved it so when I saw this one, I had to buy it and am not disappointed at all. The dragonflies are beautiful and the entangled backgrounds range from medium to very detailed so depending on your mood you will find that just right picture to color. I was immediately drawn to a very detailed picture and I had a ball coloring it and used colored pencils, gel pens and markers to color the page. It took me a while but I loved the finished picture! The pages are good quality and are one sided and perforated for very easy removal. This is a delightful book which will provide hours of fun and enjoyment. One of my favorite books!

One of the better coloring books in 2021
Dragonflies coloring book is relaxing. The images are detailed without being exacerbating. I enjoy trying to locate the dragonfly and color it the way I feel on any given day. One-sided pages allow for many mediums for application.

Wonderful Coloring Book by Angela Porter
I really enjoy this artist's books. They may look overwhelming at times, but if I look at each small area at a time, I can come up with a plan. These pictures are calming for my brain. It is fun to plan the color schemes for each one.

BEAUTIFUL designs and AMAZING pages!
PERFECT!! I love coloring and this book is wonderful!! One sided designs and on nice thick paper that wont let the pens blead through!! The designs are wonderful...some VERY detailed and some with some open space. The best thing, they are not all the SAME! Often the coloring books pages all look like they are just 'tweeked' a little bit, but these are all origianal designs and they are beautiful!! I also love that each page is perferated so that it is easy to tear out. I will easily be able to frame these if I wanted to when they are done! Here is a working page! ~KM

Dragonflies are awesome!
I like creative haven books because you can paint or color on them. The paper is not very heavy but itโs good quality and doesnโt pill when you use markers, ink, paint or neocolors. The pictures are single sided so if you get bleed through it doesnโt spoil other pictures as long as you use card stock behind the page youโre painting. This book is a favorite because I love dragonflies and Angela Porter has drawn some fun ones to color!

Definitely one of my top favorite coloring books
I have almost completed this coloring book. Only uploaded 2 pics. I used colored pencil on everything and glitter gel pens on the dragonflies. Camera does not pic up this detail. I like that the pages are perforated and one-sided. This is a must for me when buying coloring books. Typical of Creative Haven is paper quality which is not bad. If you don't remove pages, use a blotter to catch bleed through onto next page. I definitely recommend this coloring book for anyone into dragonflies and coloring. Many of which I framed and hang in my art room.

Creo que el libro estรก bien para pasar el rato, pero todas las pรกginas son de libรฉlulas demasiado detalladas. Me pareciรณ muy repetitivo y los dibujitos de filigrana no son mi estilo. Hace justicia a su tรญtulo: Entangled Dragonflies. Libรฉlulas enredadas.

I very much enjoy the art, varying levels of complexity to colour, very beautiful Dragonflies. Thank you.

I lose myself totally in Angela Porters wonderful art. She is as brilliant at art as what she is at science so its no surprise she knows how to use colouring to whisk us away for afew hours. This book like all of the others is an absolute joy of a book.

This is a really lovely colouring book and just as nice as all the other books in the Creative Haven collection. The book is filled with loads of interesting and intricate designs. The pages are perforated which means you don't end up tearing your page trying to get the sheet out of the book. I use alcohol ink pens so it does bleed through to the other side but I use a piece of cardboard and that prevents it from seeping through to the other pages (otherwise I just remove the page from the book and colour it that way). There are lots of lovely designs, each one different but all are quite intricate with not many blank spaces. I have added a photograph and will add more when I finish colouring them in.
