I am very happy with this! Using it to soften severely cracked heels and it's therapeutic properties in my skin care. It is known for its moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects, making it beneficial for conditions like dry skin, eczema, and minor wounds. I had ankle surgery and hoping it helps with the inflammation. It is greasy, be aware! Some people mix it with some other natural products to cut back on some grease. I am just applying it and rubbing it in and adding socks to let it sink in better. It has a slight smell that is not at all like perfume. It is not a wow smell or even nice but it is not awful by any means. I did notice that the sock will smell a bit unpleasant after it has had the shea butter in it but that just needs to be washed. Do not wash the socks with other items that might possibly get affected by the grease from the Shea Butter if you launder socks with other items. I always just wash socks with socks because I doubt the washing machine kills all of the bacteria. Handwashing is best but I sometimes get lazy and look for easier ways. It appears to be a high quality. I did read to NOT buy refined Shea Butter, this is NOT refined and I am happy. I saw several online articles recommend this brand as one of the better ones to choose from. Hopefully it is as good as it can get or close to that! We cannot trust magazines, etc. because they often don't test things thoroughly and reprint other people's opinions. I do think Shea butter does go bad after a time so keep it closed and check how to store it. I am keeping mine closed in the package that it came in, for now. I might transfer it to a glass dish (not plastic). Don't let air in if possible.

Just made some hand and body cream today with this Shea butter. Comes in a brick form, but melts nice with my other ingredients and once I have it all melted together, it sets up nicely, very smooth. It does have a mild odor, but i combine with lavender oil and it takes away that smell. Great use for crepey skin when combined with vitamin E oil and jojoba oil.

There's different options and I'm reviewing the, "Yellow Brick Road 100% Raw Unrefined Shea Butter-African Grade A Ivory" version with a photo. Large amount for the price. Came in a plastic bag inside a zip lock foil bag but I transferred it into a glass jar. Firm but as soon as you move your fingers along it melts like velvet lotion, so in my eyes it's the perfect consistency. Not filled with water or any fillers. It doesn't leave an oily residue at all, which most lotion and moisturizers do. It feels like your body naturally moisturized itself! I have dryness and cracks around my toes which is the main reason I got it and so far it is working great. EVERYTHING WE PUT ON OUR SKIN GOES INTO OUR SYSTEM, so don't buy anything you can put in your mouth. I won't eat this but knowing there's no chemicals, fragrance, or anything harmful is good to know. I suggest this version over the others offered and suggest this company over any other company. Some companies mail it to you in a plastic tub which people are getting cracked open, but this one comes in a bag so it won't crack open, and you can easily put it in a glass jar like I did.

This was my 3rd time ordering shea butter from them (I think 3xs, definitely had at least one prior to). I remember the other being more white, I do not like yellow or yellowish shea. When I opened the package, I was a bit disappointed as it appeared light yellowish. When I broke off a piece, I can see bits of white in there. I smelled it, wasn't pungent or any weird smells. I did use a little after a shower as one of my preferred ways to do. I noticed my arms had a smoky like aroma. I don't like that. Does that happen with shea, because of the processing? Granted, when I ordered it, I didn't have to open it right away as I still had some from my previous order. Opened it maybe 2 months after. My home is not hot and it was in the original wrapped and sealed packaging. Is it good to use? Maybe I can mix with an essential oil, I typically like to use it straight because I also put it on my face. I like to use it pure. So with this order, I'm disappointed.

Exactly as described. Shea butter in its raw, unrefined state for moisturizing and protecting skin, hair, etc. As thick as it is, I'm shocked at how *not* greasy it feels and how quickly it gets absorbed. But it's fairly solid at room temperature, so you'll either need to mash it up and warm in your hands or mix it with a carrier oil to spread it more easily. But once you do, it makes a nice, water resistant barrier that traps moisture in the skin, softens and protects it. Great for all sorts of applications from skin moisturizer to beard balms and more. Comes wrapped in a plastic bag that's further protected by a nice Mylar pouch, double sealing it from light and air.

I love Shea butter I use it to mix with other butters and it always comes out amazing. Definitely worth the buy. It softens skin, absorbs when mixed with lotion, and came double package… I especially love using it during the colder months to keep my skin soft and it has replaced my Vaseline usage a long time ago..

First time ordering from this company. Great quality shea butter. Minimal smell and does not have a gritty texture. Melts easily and mixes well with other oils. Keep away from direct light to keep fresh.
