It was a little spicy for my family, but we put a dallop of Greek yogurt with it, and it was absolutely perfect!!!

Don’t bother.
Thought I would give this mix a try. I like cooking my own Indian food, but was curious about this butter chicken mix. As soon as you open the package, you get hit with a really strong sour smell. It lists citric acid in the ingredients. I guess that’s what that is. Unfortunately that fake sour smell persists when cooking. This is not a well rounded mellow butter chicken. It is quite spicy and remains sour. I ended up adding a small can of crushed tomatoes, double the amount of tomato paste and then three small spoons of sugar to mellow out the sourness. I was willing to eat it, the rest of the family was not impressed. I recommend you skip this one.
