Works well for those of us using split ergonomic keyboards!
I used a M570 for years and loved it. It eventually wore down over time and I had to replace it. Probably 6 years ago I decided to go with the MX Master. I stuck with those, and upgraded over the last several years to a Master 2s, and a Master 3. The Master 3 is a great mouse, and has some unique features that make it hard to part with. Namely, the scroll wheel, how it's notched but can spin freely if you flick it (more on this later). I've been getting into more ergonomic keyboards for health reasons, and I've settled on a mechanical split ortholinear keyboard that allows for "tenting," which means you can tilt the two halves up to match your natural wrist position. The problem is, since keeping the two keyboard halves around shoulder width is recommended, normal mice don't work well in this scenario. You either have to move it to the middle, between the two halves, or leave it on the outside in which case you're reaching farther to use your mouse. Both are not ideal and it counters the health benefits of using a split ortho keyboard in the first place. Time to go back to the trackball! I had missed my trackball days anyway. First off, why didn't I go with the MX ERGO? I'm obviously ok dropping $100 on a mouse. Here's why - 1) I refuse to buy a device that is still using Micro USB. It's old, outdated, and Logi needs to put USB-C in that one. I feel like they might have an updated version of that in the works, so I wanted to hold off on the MX-series trackball for now. 2) If I'm spending as much as the MX Master 3, it should have 3 BT profiles. Another update in the works for Logi (I would hope...). Before landing on the M575, I tried a Kensington Expert and a Slimblade. The expert is garbage, the Slimblade could be acceptable in certain use cases, but overall Kensington didn't fit the bill for me. Back to Logi! Enter the M575. Yes, it only has 1 BT profile, but that's ok for me, and here's why - I have a personal computer, and a work computer in my home office. They share a USB switch with a button that I push to swap my keyboard\mouse between the two. It's mounted under my desk. The rf transmitter works perfectly here and I don't even see it. My other "on the go" computer is a Surface, which I use the BT profile for. It works out perfectly, and I make full use of all the connection profiles available which satisfies some strange OCD in me. Last but not least, I'll mention build quality and how I am managing to cope with losing the famous scroll wheel on the MX Master 3. Build quality is actually really good. I thought it would feel significantly cheaper, but I did not get that impression at all. I think this is about as well built a mouse can get, especially for the price. Next, my beloved scrolling! Set a button (via Logitech Options) to be a "Gesture" button, and set it to "pan." Problem solved. Now you can hold down the button and flick the trackball to scroll up/down or left/right. I use the middle mouse button for it, and get this... Still works for middle mouse button things, like opening links in a new tab. In conclusion, I am now able to have my trackball very close the the right half of my split keyboard, and stationary so I'm not stretching to use a mouse. It honestly fit in with my workflow from day 1. I may upgrade if Logi comes out with a more modernized MX ERGO someday, but maybe not for a few years. The M575 does what I need, and I'm happy with it. I recommend trying it!

Improved hand pain, excellent design and product/battery longevity
Excellent mouse- I have had this trackball mouse for almost 3 years now and I love it. I love the design as it feels more in alignment with how our hands are made than the standard mouse. I personally thought that it took a bit of getting used to at first but after a few days I noticed I had less pain in my hand when using it compared to others I have had in the past as I tend to get tendonitis in my hands. Another awesome feature is that its wireless and runs on a single AA battery, which I have never had to replace in 3 years. (Note: I do turn it off when not in use so that may be why I have seen this battery longevity) Can't recommend it enough, excellent mouse

Well made trackball
Basically it's the upgraded model of the M570. After months of use, I can say it has pretty much the same shape. The mouse has good heft to it, so it won't move from it's position easily. Just like the previous model. Excellent. For people like me, who suffer from wrist problems, using anything but a trackball, can be trouble long term. I've been using them for years in fact. It makes working at the computer more comfortable without risking strain on the wrist. It is well worth the money. You still need to periodically pop the ball out and clean the little balls that the big ball rides on, but all track balls seem to have this common problem. Not really an issue. The battery is still going strong. You can expect 6-12 months from it, depending on how much you use the mouse. Also, it doesn't have problems with the switches under the buttons. So they fixed that problem. It's a reliable mouse. It's connectivity is excellent. You just plug in the dongle, and off you go essentially. Overall, it's a much improved product I can say after several months of use.

Initial impressions are very positive. Good, versatile, feature-packed trackball. Only a few flaws.
Update on 10/10/2023: I just replaced the battery for the first time. I bought the mouse back in March, and with how much use I get out of it, I'm very happy with the battery life. I don't miss not having a DPI switch, either. =============================== I've had this trackball for a few days now, so I feel comfortable writing a more detailed review than I initially posted. Pros: -- Feels good in the hand. My fingers rest naturally in all the right places. -- Option of connecting via Bluetooth or wireless radio connection -- With a simple push to the right, the scroll wheel locks, letting you scroll with the trackball both vertically and horizontally -- The construction feels solid. -- Very easy to set up. I connected via Bluetooth and the software automatically installed. -- The precision is impressive. I haven't experienced any cursor drift like I have with other trackballs. -- The trackball itself is very smooth. I haven't experienced any stickiness or grittiness in the ball movement. -- In my initial assessment, I was concerned that the battery life might be a concern. *Technically*, that could still end up being a problem, I guess, but I'm less worried about it now than I was. It's been four days, and the battery level is still at 100%. If it goes down 1% every 5 days, that still gives me over a year of battery life. Cons: -- There's no DPI switch. You can adjust the cursor speed in the software, but the resolution is static. -- The receiver for the wireless functionality is in the trackball's battery compartment. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere when I opened the box, and only discovered it when I opened the battery cover, which I didn't have to do in the first place, because a battery was already there. :) Overall, I'm pretty happy with this trackball, so far. I haven't noticed any grittiness in the trackball movement, it's precise enough for my needs, and the added scroll features are nice to have.

Great mouse (with a minor adjustment)
For background: I'm a software developer at a PC for 8 hours a day. I started having carpal tunnel wrist pains with normal mice, so I churned through a handful of cheap vertical mice over the past 8 years. I honestly didn't have any issues with vertical mice - my last one was just on the verge of death, so I decided to branch out to the world of trackball mice. After tons of research, I settled on this one. The results?... I love this mouse! I don't have any frame of reference, but the ball is plenty smooth for me. All the buttons are nicely positioned, and the mouse body fits nicely to my hand, which I'd say is average size. One worry I had before buying was the adjustment period, but for me this was surprisingly short. The first few days were fine - just some issues with accuracy. But I'd say within the first week I was using this mouse as a second nature. I'm even been using this as my preferred mouse for some video games like Baldur's Gate 3 & Pillars of Eternity (although I personally can't imagine trying to use it for something like an FPS). Another worry I had before buying was the risk of RSI from the thumb movement, as there's lots of concerns online about this for thumb-oriented trackball mice. But after using this quite regularly for a few weeks, I've had zero thumb pain, outside of some soreness the first couple of days. Of course, I can't guarantee your experience will be the same, but this is a pretty low bar for entry. Just listen to your body as you go! My biggest complaint: the tilt angle. It's too flat for me on the table, causing my wrist to rotate too much. I wanted more of that vertical mouse feel. Thankfully, this was easily remedied by 3D printing a tilted base for the mouse from a free model on Thingaverse. The only other inconvenience so far has been that the ball will start to lose its smoothness after a couple days of consistent use, but this is easily remedied in 10 seconds by popping the ball out and cleaning off the contacts. However, these minor issues are far outweighed by the pros & low price. So as far as I'm concerned, 10/10!

Very reliable mouse (8 month review)
I’ve had this for about 8 months and today it briefly stopped working. I took the track ball out and cleaned out the socket and put the ball back in and it works perfectly again. Very reliable mouse. It took a little while to get used to compared to a regular mouse, but now I love it so much. A regular mouse was giving me wrist, pain and hand pain. This has solved that problem and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a regular traditional mouse. One of the main things I love about it at the moment is that I can use it while lounging and I don’t have to place it on a flat surface. I can just hold it wherever I want as long as I can move the track ball around. This is a great mouse!

Easy to use
Logitech ERGO M575 Wireless Trackball Mouse - Easy thumb control, precision and smooth tracking, ergonomic comfort design, for Windows, PC and Mac with Bluetooth and USB capabilities - Off White...... For me a track ball is great. I have an Apple Magic Mouse which is clever engineering but a pain in the rear to master. So I purchased the Logitech track ball a find it so much easier to navigate the computer screen The track ball is wireless and connects to the computer either with bluetooth or a small plug in piece which works just fine if you have enough ports to add the plug. The battery life is fine . The track ball gets used daily and the battery life is more than a year of use, so no complaints

Logitech ERGO M575 Wireless Trackball Mouse
I use a computer several hours a day on average and it's been my go to mouse for well over a decade. The newer versions have additional striations over the back, which might improve the feel in the hand. In addition to not experiencing any signs of carpal tunnel after all these years of use, I prefer the flexibility of using the mouse on any surface hard or soft including the couch, bed, table etc since it doesn't slide around like a traditional mouse. It is directed solely by your thumb on the sphere and you just have to remove the sphere once in a while to clear any debris that has collected inside and you are back to peak performance. I have found after years of use, the left click button has failed on occasion. Logitech has also produced other high quality product for me over the years as I have also used their keyboards and programmable remotes with excellent performance and durability.
