I bought this to permanently install in a product with the right-angle to reduce the profile. Works fine.

I was really happy to find these unique cables on Amazon - and at a reasonable price.These are exactly what I needed to provide a "pigtail" to facilitate "tethering" my Canon T6 Camera using the Canon EOS software. The right angle allowed me to route and secure the short length of cable to the camera tripod. This not only allowed fitting the camera into a restricted space, but by securing the cable it provides protection of the mini-USB connector on the camera getting damaged inadvertently from a bump or tug on the 5-foot long canon-supplied cable. Depending on the exact configuration, the cable can be compactly routed towards either the top or the bottom of the camera and they are just the right length for this sort of application.The connections all worked well with easy insertion and removal, no wiggle-wobble and good electrical connection.Thank you YCS basics.

Using this to add a right angle to my obd2 power source for a rearview mirror dashcam. I had some trepidation based upon some of the reviews, but it plugged right in, is holding securely, and the cam powers right up. Looks like most of the issues people have are when the other leads apart from power are present, but for solely power, this is the perfect solution.

BEWARE ...... I could not believe it, I very carefully plugged the Viofo cable straight end Mini-USB cable into the "socket" end of this cable and it met with resistance so I stopped and examined the situation and both plug and connector looked fine so I made the assumption it was just a tight, secure fit ................ NO, NO, NO ....... as I inserted my Viofo plug was internally destroyed. I immediately tried it back in the cam without this damaging adapter cable and it now did NOT work, even "juggling", nothing !! I was forced to replace the Viofo supplied cable with a new one and spent another four hours installing and routing this new one.

I use this extension on my gps cable in the car. Had found a great spot for my garmin on the dash but the charging cable didnt fit behind it for the angle i needed. Putting this 90 on makes everything great! The down fall is the gps looses the signal from the charger traffic tracker with the extension but thats not a deal breaker for me.

Perfect for my use as a extension to allow my camera to operate tethered, but while mounted to a tripod in a portrait orientation that necessitates the end with the outlet be directly over the place where the tripod plate mounts. Plus, any cord-pulls result in a break at where this cord meets the longer one, rather than possible damaging the connector in the camera itself.

Purchased these to allow easier removal of a dash cam or GPS when I park the car, while sparing the wear of on/off connections to the adapter. So far it works fine.

Just note that these are fine but will not pass data through them...which defeated the purpose of me getting them.
